You get what you pay for!
We used Stephens Wilmot for our sale and purchase last year as their price was very competitive. We quickly wished that we had gone with one of the more expensive options! The process was very slow and we could not get any responses from them when we needed advice. We were told that we couldn’t speak to our solicitor on the phone and everything had to be done by email - these emails then went into a queue so no guarantee on when they would be read. When I raised this as a complaint to them they simply sent me the instructions of how to disinstruct them rather than addressing my complaint. We were too far into the proces sat this point so couldn’t afford to disinstruct as it would have meant the chain falling through. I then approached Mr Stephens directly to try to get a resolution as this was the complaints process listed on their website. To this day he has never returned my calls or responded to my 3 emails directly to him. Do not use them - you will regret it!
