Paul Fursman acted for me in the sale of my house and previously in purchasing my flat and in both cases his service was exemplary. Paul kept me fully update at each stage and his completion team were very efficient ensuring a smooth handover to the new owner. I cannot recommend Paul highly enough and will continue to appoint him and his firm on all my legal requirements.

It was a pleasure to have Paul Fursman act on my behalf selling a residential property. He was professional and efficient always kept in contact with phone calls and e mails.
The completion department were also most helpful and efficient.

Paul provided excellent service throughout the process. He was very responsive and efficient. I have worked with a lot of solicitors over the years, and Paul's service was the best I'd received. I would recommend him to friends and family, and be happy to use his services again.

Residential Property
M&P dealt with our house purchase recently and whilst I felt mostly confident that a professional job was being done I found it a struggle to understand and digest certain steps along the way. It was clear from instruction that we were FTB's however I can't say the process was particularly explained to us or that certain key requirements were explained. There was just an assumption that we would know and understand on what to do... one such example is the closing of a Help To Buy ISA that I held; I wasn't sure on the process and what solicitors required from us and rather than that be explained to us following an email question, I had to fathom it out for myself in order to ensure it was done correctly. I feel like a bit more help, and maybe some clearer detailed communication could have helped the process be more smoother and less anxious for us. Instead we were just presented with details and paperwork and expected to understand it. I can't criticise our solicitor for response times - whenever we reached out via email they replied promptly but I often felt like we were just expected to know and understand things that we sometimes didn't. I've come away from the process just kind of hoping that a thorough and complete job has been done but I should feel assured that it has. And I don't. When it came to fees the breakdown wasn't properly fleshed out for me and I had to query, and to be fair I still don't fully understand how the final charges are calculated and they have came in more expensive than the original quote, but in the spirit of wanting to complete I just cleared the bill and assumed that the overcharges were above board. I can't honestly say that I'd come back to M&P, I just didn't feel the same level of customer priority and consideration that I got from our mortgage advisor and from the agents. I'm not sure we would have done better going elsewhere, but I can't say I was impressed with M&P at the end of the process, just kind of... nearly satisfied?

We thank you for your feedback and are sorry to hear that your experience of using the property team at Mullis & Peake LLP was not a positive one and that you came away feeling ‘nearly satisfied’. This is not the service that we strive to provide to our clients or pride ourselves on. Your comments have been sent to Paul and the Head of Department to review. We should make clear that our role is only to apply for the Help to Buy Bonus for clients to assist with a purchase and not to close an ISA account. This is a matter for clients to attend to via their bank. We cannot assist in this regard. Our initial client care letter and supporting information forms make very clear what we can and will do for you as part of the conveyancing process and in this instance, we advised you of the forms that would be need to completed to obtain the Help to Buy Bonus at the beginning of the transaction and advised you of the process throughout. We are pleased to note that your conveyancer was on hand to assist with any enquiries you had and responded promptly to you. We went through our invoice and completion statement with you and confirm that items detailed in the invoice relate to all matters previously detailed in our estimate of costs and disbursements. We did not exceed this in any way. We always welcome the opportunity to prove ourselves and therefore if we can assist you at all in the future then please do not hesitate to give us another chance.

Overall satisfied but better interaction with the client would be hugely preferred, for the majority of time it felt like I was speaking with a bot, only replying with the same repetitive line.

We thank you for your feedback and are sorry to hear that your experience of using the property team at Mullis & Peake LLP was not a positive one. However, having looked at the file, we can see that the matter completed in just over three months, which is extremely good for any conveyancing transaction. It is also clear that we held your signed Contract some 6 weeks before the matter completed and that the matter would have completed sooner but for the buyer not being ready, for which you were kept updated throughout. It may simply be that you didn’t click with Paul, maybe he wasn’t the Solicitor for you, even though he has 25 reviews on Review Solicitors averaging 4.7/5. We would welcome the opportunity to prove ourselves and therefore if we can assist you at all in the future then please do not hesitate to contact us.
