I had a bad experience last year with trying to buy a property with a different cheap web-based solicitors (I won't mention their name) where the sale collapsed because of the couple selling split up and pulled out at the last minute (I signed the contract, they didn't) However, I lay the blame at my then solicitors. Had they been quicker this would not have been my problem. I can recall reading an email chain I don't think I was meant to receive where the sellers solicitors were berating mine for the delay. The process cost me money, time and stress. I mention this, not simply to moan but to contrast my experience with David Barney & Co.
This time I emailed 2 local solicitors in mid-Feb to get a quote for buying a property. 1 solicitors did not get back to me, David Barney & Co called me back within 30mins, I took this as a good sign and I was correct. I don't think I had to wait more than hour for a response to any query, and the process operated like a well oiled machine, and was largely stress free. I was working to a tight deadline with the rise in stamp duty and asked if it was possible. I was told that no promises could be made, but they would try. They under-promised and over-delivered. My purchase went through on 31st March saving a couple of thousand pounds. A bad, but cheap solicitor will cost you money, a good solicitor will save you money.

Fantastic service
I used DB&Co for the sale of my shared ownership flat and couldn’t recommend them enough. They were transparent, efficient, worked very hard to push my sale through and made the process as stress free as possible. Lauren was absolutely fantastic and was in constant communication with us to keep us informed as to the sale.

Great service, would recommend!
Lauren was absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly responsive, often replying to emails from 7 a.m. onwards, and kept everything moving quickly and efficiently. Thanks to her support, I was able to exchange within just eight weeks of my offer being accepted and even saved on stamp duty! I highly recommend David Barney & Co to friends and family.

The best conveyancers!
I cannot recommend David Barney enough. They are the absolute, best, tip top service! This is my third time using them to buy/sell and I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Very professional.....Highly recommended
We were first time buyers and Lauren managed our contracts. She was extremely professional and informative throughout the process from searches to final completion.
She was very proactive to and ensured completion ahead of target dates. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic Conveyancing Experience
We used David Barney & Co to sell our leasehold flat and purchase our new property. Throughout the process Lauren has been excellent. Communication was always prompt and clear, and everything has been turned around very quickly. We felt that Lauren represented our interests very well, and would have no issue in recommending her or the firm to anybody looking for conveyancing services.

Excellent conveyancing service received
