As the Director with business management focus at Hill Twine Solicitors, I am responsible for all practice management, including recruitment and compliance, and the financial side of the business. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to work within the Criminal Justice System and I am a qualified lawyer. I was Called to the Bar in 2005 and subsequently cross-qualified as a solicitor. I was admitted to the Roll in 2014. I joined HMCTS as a Legal Adviser in 2008, working there for 11 years. I started off working exclusively in Crime, dealing with both Adult and Youth Court work. During this time, I joined the Justices’ Clerk Society and was elected as a Council Member, with responsibility for Crime. In 2016 I was promoted to the role of Family Legal Team Manager for Dorset, Devon & Cornwall, responsible for the performance of the Lay Justices’ tier of the Family Court in all three counties. Whilst I enjoyed working in the Family jurisdiction I missed a life of Crime! I left HMCTS to join Hill Twine Solicitors at the beginning of 2020 and a return to the Criminal Justice System. Being appointed as Director in 2022 represents the most significant milestone in my legal career to date.

    Highly recommend Gavin and Sarah

    I cannot think of a way Gavin or Sarah could have provided better advice or information. Outstanding service from beginning to end. After feeling uncomfortable with the original solicitor I talked to about our case I looked online for an alternative. From my first phone call with Gavin at Hill Twine I knew this was the right solicitors to represent us. Sarah Hill dealt with our tricky family dynamics and prioritised her client (my son) throughout the whole process she was utterly professional in the most caring way she could possibly be in the circumstances.     Sarah, I�m absolutely in awe of you. What an incredible lady. I honestly can�t thank you enough for getting the outcome today. From the moment we arrived at the court and had a meeting with you I felt utterly safe that you had my child�s best interests at heart.
