Clare has worked in the legal arena since 1998 where she started as an Administration Assistant and has worked herself up to the position of Legal Assistant within the Family Department. Clare has worked in this Firm since 2001. She started as a general Secretary where she worked in all areas of law but mainly Family Law to which she took an instant liking to. In 2004 Clare started working for a Partner in the Firm as a Secretary; and now is a Legal Assistant working very closely with two of our Senior Solicitors within the Family Department; however, Clare does assist the other Partners and fee earners wherever necessary. Clare's role is to help deal with client queries; deal with Change of Name Deeds/Deed Polls either enrolled or unenrolled; and to assist generally with the day-to-day running of cases. Client care is always at the forefront of everything Clare strives to achieve within the Family Department and likes to assist clients as much as possible given they are often going through a very difficult time in their life to understand the process and put them at ease using the knowledge and experience she has gained working in the Family Law Sector for many years.

About Clare Plumley

Divorce proceedings feedback
I have nothing but praise for the way my divorce was handled by Luke Brown and Clare Plumley. They were both extremely efficient, patient and empathetic. Even though none of my communications with Luke were face-to-face I feel that we did manage to establish an effective working relationship to navigate through the complexities of a divorce. This was especially difficult for me as I was also caring for my late mother at the time and then consequently a bereavement. Luke and Clare were particularly supportive at this very difficult time. Clare was always a pleasure to deal with her and I did meet her several times to sign documents etc. Your reception staff at the Grimsby office were also efficient and personable. I also found Helen Wilkinson to be very professional in dealing with my will and my late Mum's probate.

Enrolled Deed Poll
I requested the help of this firm for a change of name Enrolled Deed Poll. I was put in touch with a solicitor named Clare Plumley who was with me every step of the way. I felt fully confident. The service provided was professional, friendly and efficient. She had plenty of patience of all of my queries and helped me to understand everything as well as to guide me through the process. The entire process overall felt smooth and pleasant thanks to her expertise.
