Overall we had a good experience and moved in 4 months after accepting an offer on our house & purchasing a new one. The only disadvantage would be the communication, we know solicitors are extremely busy but from the point of the seller / buyer it’s one of the most important things we will ever do in our lives and I think a bit more empathy for that would be good. Our solicitor always answered the phone which was great but sometimes we’d be greeted with a tone that makes us feel inferior and it wasn’t very nice. We don’t have legal degrees and we pay for a solicitor to explain legal language but sometimes this wasn’t clear to us and when we’d ask for more information we’d be made to feel silly. The process itself was quick and smooth but I’d just think clients would appreciate it if you put yourselves in our shoes and understand how important this is for us, you may have many clients but we only have one solicitor who is handling the biggest transaction of our lives. May I also add that Sara was lovely, she had compassion and was very friendly.
