Tom Calder has twice been the acting solicitor for me after the loss of two members of family 8 years apart. Found him very understanding, straightforward, extremely efficient, friendly but professional. My experience has been if Tom says he will ring/write/email on a time or day, he keeps his word and does. This has been very very much appreciated by me. Have not had to keep ringing or emailing etc. Had every confidence if I left him quiet, he would sort everything that he needed to and I had no need to bother him. It reduces the stress massively at what is very often a stressful time. Such service, certainly since the pandemic, seems very rare, so the service I have received from Tom stands out. He is a credit to himself, and an asset to Wollens. Have no complaints at all.

Settling my late mother's estate
I have been delighted with the way in which Tom and his team at Wollens dealt with probate for my mother's will and the subsequent settling of her estate. In particular, I really appreciated the manner in which I was kept informed of what was happening and why, and the speed and clarity with which that was done. Based on experiences that other people have had with other solicitors, I was expecting to have to keep chasing but I was delighted to find that with Wollens that was far from the case. Many thanks.

Taking over as Executor of a Will for me
I was asked by my next door neighbour to be Power of Attorney which I willingly did. But having problems with carers and Social Services, I felt this was just too much at the dime due to my own health issues. So I handed the Executor part of my neighbours will over to Wollens Solicitors who were more than helpful and were willing to do that part for me. To which I was very grateful.

Complicated will issue resolved
We were very impressed with the outcome of our wills due to the complexity of our situation. Tom took his time to offer the solution that we feel happy with.

Client Feedback - LPA prepartion
My wife and I recently used Tom Calder at Wollens Torquay to prepare LPAs for us both. Tom was very professional and approachable and we were very pleased with the service we had. We have previously used Wollens for property transactions and we will certainly be using them again.
