He knew exactly what he was doing, took all the stress and got the job done. I was trying to sell simultaneously and he didn't seem to mind my chasing for land reg updates. I have since instructed him for the conveyancing of my sale as he just cracks on, rather than requiring constant input from me. Exactly what you need from a good solicitor. I had direct comms for the whole process, rather than being pushed through a call centre and had a direct email to him. A refreshing approach.

However the service was a bit pricey and I felt the response times could have been more flexible. Overall, a solid job and I would recommend for your expertise, though it comes at a premium

We used Gareth Collins from the Hassocks branch to do our conveyancing based on a recommendation and goodness are we grateful. We lived in and were selling a 250 year old farmhouse with lots of complications and challenges we discovered. It was partly probate, with some of it being passed down from two different relatives. It had several leases with very long time scales but no freeholder recorded. It wasn't agriculturally tied but boundaries were muddy and vehicular accesses needed amending. We had challenges with water supply, shared sewage arrangements etc as we had happily co-existed with my brother's element of the farm while we lived there. We also were working within a tight time scale, dictated by our buyers, who were keen to proceed and as a cash sale, we didn't want to lose. Our estate agents were awful and completely uncontactable (we received a significant discount from their fees due to their appalling service.) We were also purchasing a house and he acted on our behalf for that purchase too - luckily their estate agents were excellent. Gareth went above and beyond professionally. We were totally reassured by his knowledge, professionalism and research. His communication all all details of our sale and purchase was exceptional. Questions were answered immediately and in full and he also liaised with the other solicitors and estate agents in a way that meant we were both fully informed and the sale went through exactly on the date that we had set at the beginning of our sales journey. This was quite a feat with a estate agent on our side who didn't respond at all and buying a house that was being sold due to a marriage breakdown. Also, he's such a lovely chap. Although very professional, and exceptionally thorough, it felt like talking to a friend. He humanised the entire process and left us feeling reassured as he led us through our very first house sale. We can't recommend him and Goodlaw Solicitors enough. We have done so many times since our house move and wouldn't consider using anyone else if we choose to move (although we hope not to in the near future!). Thank you, Gareth. You actually made our house sale and purchase a relatively relaxing and enjoyable process.

We’ve had an excellent experience with GoodLaw, with Gareth providing a service above and beyond for our conveyancing. Gareth was always available via telephone and email. The buyers of our property used a rogue conveyancer but Gareth took it all in his stride and did everything possible to get our move complete. Gareth brought levity to what would have otherwise been a stressful situation. Could not recommend them more.The value was excellent and we’ll always use GoodLaw!

We had the slightly nervy prospect of Goodlaw taking over the previous law offices during the conveyancing of our house purchase! I have to say, the transition was a marvellous upgrade and our conveyancer mkII (Gareth) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout. We are in Buckinghamshire not Sussex and used Goodlaw on recommendation. I will happily pass on the same to anyone who asks. First class service.
