The worst solicitors I have ever dealt with

The solicitors I instructed have been the most disappointing I have ever dealt with. What should have been a straightforward “no win, no fee” matter has now been left unresolved for over two years. I raised a formal complaint last year, after which a representative assured me she would contact me daily until the issue was resolved. She did so for only two days, and I have not heard from her since. This lack of follow-up and communication is unacceptable. Furthermore, clients are encouraged to take out insurance policies, despite the apparent reality that, once legal costs and insurance premiums are deducted, the client is likely to receive little or no financial benefit. This practice raises serious concerns about transparency and fairness. Overall, my experience has been a significant waste of time and has caused considerable frustration. I would strongly encourage others in a similar situation to raise formal complaints and provide feedback to the appropriate regulatory bodies. In England and Wales, concerns about solicitors can be reported to the Legal Ombudsman, who handles complaints about poor service, or to the Solicitors Regulation Authority if there are concerns about professional conduct.

Update 19/03/2026: Hi there, Thank you for providing your details, we’ve now been able to locate your file. We can see that in September 2025 our Complaints Team contacted you to ask whether you wished to raise a formal complaint, and you advised that you required an update. An update was provided the same day, but we want to apologise if things have still felt unclear since then. If you now feel a formal complaint would be the right step for you, please email us at Customerteamnew@fs.co.uk, and we will make sure your concerns are formally reviewed through the appropriate channels. In the meantime, your case handler will be in touch as soon as possible to discuss things further and make sure you have the support and information you need. If you have any further queries please don't hesitate to get in touch. Best wishes Samantha 18/03/2026: Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Avoid. If I could give them 0 starts,I would! They were enthusiastic at the start and made strong promises about handling my case, but once I signed the agreement, communication became very limited. Updates were rare, and I didn’t feel that genuine effort was put into progressing my claim. Based on my experience, it seems that the firm only pursues cases that are almost impossible to lose, as I didn’t see much skill or proactive work from their side in more complex situations.

⭐️⭐️ (2 stars) I appointed Fletchers Solicitors in Manchester for a personal injury claim following a slip and fall at a hotel in May 2023. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. Despite providing medical evidence and signing numerous forms, I was pressured to accept a settlement offer without their own medical support or proper review of my condition. I waited nearly two and half years for their medical input, which never arrived—leaving me vulnerable, re-injured, and unsupported. The standard of service and was poor, and their conduct felt inadequate throughout. I ultimately withdrew from the claim due to lack of trust and care. Even after withdrawing consent, they continued to contact me about a settlement that seemed more focused on securing their percentage than addressing my injury or wellbeing. - The handling of my case fell short of professional standards. - I experienced delays and decisions that didn’t reflect duty of care. - The process left me unsupported and vulnerable, despite repeated requests. - I withdrew due to lack of trust and inadequate follow-through. - The experience did not align with what I expected from a legal advocate. Personal injury claims allow up to three years, yet they failed to use that time to advocate properly for me. I wouldn’t recommend them. They’ve wasted my time, ignored my suffering, and left me feeling unheard. I’m giving 2 stars only because the process was initiated—but in truth, it felt like a one-star experience.

Never use these fletchers Southport below is why made my life hel

This current representation established don’t work directly within the legal principles or law confines They had made my life bad by abusing my financial compensation and PIP of the government They havent even given me financial reports even though I told Office of public guardian and they told me I should receive they by 11/04/2025 but guess what I didn’t receive them which leads me to believe they are hiding the abuse of my financial compensation funds below are more issues I’ve sustained with fletchers architecture to undertake a property I supposedly purchased she ls told the architect not to hand over the keys 2, manipulation of my mother family members for example when I chose waddingtons to represent me saying to my mother look at there reviews 3, manipulation of my mother again telling her to tell my brother that when I wanted to change deputy to him she told my mum to tell my brother it’s a full time job he isn’t an accountant it’s clearly not 4, the original recommended assessor for mental capacity was falsified so again she’s probably told Alec Larroway who he went to university with the assessor Amy Burns my PA was in the meeting he read the report and stated you didn’t say that I said I know she made her own interpretation of what i stated So I had capacity at this point but Lucy with her manipulation control he stated otherwise I did and assessors exam for mental capacity a couple of months after this to prove a point I had capacity I passed it So how could I be an assessor but not have mental capacity weres the logic in this I managed to do this because its relevant for the construction industry to determine if a person has capacity to undertake there work I have a certificate as proof I have all evidence to back my truth statements up My family members, certificate emails She needs tricking off her current position for inappropriate inadequacy incompetence lying principles

Slow slow slow. 22 months and counting for a claim where liability was admitted at the start. And beware because Fletchers use Premex. Look at Premex reviews on trustpilot. Wish I'd chosen a different firm.

Hi Zena, We’re really sorry to hear this and understand how frustrating it must feel given the length of time your claim has been ongoing. While admitted liability can simplify part of the process, claims can still take longer than expected where medical evidence is required. That said, we recognise the importance of clear communication and timely progression, and want to apologise if this has not been your experience. We've passed your comments onto your case handler for review, and they will be in touch with you shortly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and if you have any more concerns please don't hesitate to reach out. Best wishes, Samantha

Do not waste your time. Provided the company with all ebidence needed to prove negligence and causation but kept me dangling for 3 months to then just say not taking it further. Sounds like they just cant be bothered. Couldnt even get the solicitor to inform me instead a paralegal with 0 knowledge of the case. No answers and no discussion. Please save yourself some time and go elsewhere. 0 stars if it were possible.

Hi Ryan, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this situation must feel, especially after the time you spent providing evidence to support your claim. While we appreciate this is disappointing, the decision not to progress your case will have been based on a careful legal assessment. As part of this process, obtaining and reviewing records can take time and is sometimes outside of our direct control, which may have contributed to delays. We want to apologise if this wasn’t communicated in the way you would have expected, and that you didn’t feel you had the opportunity to fully discuss the outcome. Please be assured that we have passed your comments on to the relevant team for review, and someone will be in touch with you to discuss your concerns further. Best wishes, Samantha

Where do I start? They took 6 months to tell me they would not take on my case, which is disappointing however I wasn't given any credible reason. The 2 minute phone call to tell me this was met with terrible signal and without any reasoning. They advised me to get a second opinion, to which they are now ignoring any and all correspondence from to pass my medical records on. They are actively hindering my case. I would not recommend and strongly advise you go to someone else if you actually want any form of decent humanity.

Hi Ben Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are genuinely sorry to hear how disappointing and frustrating this has felt for you, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond. We understand how difficult it is to wait for an outcome, particularly when you are dealing with a medical matter. While six months can understandably feel excessive, a significant part of this time was spent awaiting and collecting medical records from third‑party healthcare providers. Unfortunately, the timeframes for receiving these records are outside of our control, and delays in obtaining them can directly affect how quickly we are able to reach a decision. We are sorry that the telephone call discussing our decision was not as clear or helpful as it should have been, particularly given the technical issues you experienced. Clear communication is important to us, and we regret that this fell short on this occasion. With regard to your medical records, we are happy to confirm that these can be released once the appropriate authority or consent has been received. We do not wish to hinder any further advice you seek, and we apologise if there has been any perceived lack of communication while this is being arranged. We appreciate that our decision not to proceed with your case is disappointing, and we regret that this has led you to feel unheard or unsupported. Your feedback has been taken on board and will be used to review how we communicate decisions and manage expectations more clearly going forward. We wish you the very best in obtaining a second opinion and moving your matter forward, and we sincerely hope you receive a positive outcome. Best wishes, Samantha

High volume company that takes on as many cases as they can, hardly anybuodates on your case. you will have to do all the chasing. once liability has been admitted, all they care about is their fees and you will end up with an undervalued case. majority of the positive reviews appear to be from people at the start of their case who haven’t fully experienced this firm

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We acknowledge the concerns you have raised, including those previously mentioned in your earlier reviews, and we’re sorry that your experience has led you to feel this way. As mentioned previously, we are unable to discuss the specific details of any individual case on a public platform. We just wanted to let you know that your solicitor has attempted to contact you on two occasions this week by telephone, but has been unable to speak with you. Just so you are aware, they will attempt to make contact with you again shortly. Alternatively, please contact us at a convenient time for you, so we can discuss matters constructively and move forwards. I had an injury at work signed up with this company. What a big mistake. The company I worked for accepted liability in 2023 it’s 2026 now and still I’m waiting. I have had a scan and the results back last year. I’m so fed up with how slow this is taking. It’s actually depressing I just want to see the end of this nonsense. I don’t know how they even got a five star review

Hi Mikey Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re really sorry to hear how frustrated you feel with the progress of your claim. Feeling like things are moving slowly — or not moving at all — can understandably feel unsettling. This is clearly not the experience we want any client to have, and we appreciate you raising these concerns. We have passed your feedback onto the relevant team, and someone will be in touch with you to discuss your concerns in more detail. Alternatively you can contact our Client Care Team at customerteamnew@fs.co.uk, and we will ensure your message reaches the right people as quickly as possible.
