I have been with Meikles Solicitors for more than 30 years but recently they have restructured and their property conveyancing have moved from Ferryhill office to Bishop Auckland office. Jake Dixon was my main contact and I was delighted with his service and professionalism. I noticed Jake was working outside of business hours on some occations which for a solicitors office was refreshing. Keep up the good work i will certainly continue to use the Bishop Auckland office.

Dreadful. Accepted my conveyancing case (a straightforward purchase) and also willingly accepted a £300 (!) fee for initial searches, then decided that they could not proceed with my case as I was selling another property. Baffling as it is common practice to sell a property and purchase another! They then charged me £60 for the privilege for works carried out. Disgraceful customer service. Avoid at all costs.

Used meikles when purchasing a house. From start to finish everyone we spoke to and met was professional, helpful and quick to respond to any queries we had. Would highly recommend. Claire, Nicola and Gemma were exceptional. Could not have asked for a higher standard of service.

I was initally a little dissappointed as could not use my local branch for conveyancing as they were representing the seller so I used the Ferryhill. Branch instead. Wow am I pleased I did.... I can honestly say I'm impressed with the service I have received from Claire Coates as my solicitor and her assistant Nicola. As someone who has lived in the same property for 30yrs to say I was nervous about the thought of moving is an understatement However I can honestly say Nicola was so so supportive and also very prompt at answering any queries I had guiding and reassuring me constantly. Claire on our face to face today was amazing she was so so friendly and informal and very very professional and personal in her manner. I would definitely recommend Meikle at Ferryhill to family and friends in the future given my experience on this occasion
