I have been with Meikles Solicitors for more than 30 years but recently they have restructured and their property conveyancing have moved from Ferryhill office to Bishop Auckland office. Jake Dixon was my main contact and I was delighted with his service and professionalism. I noticed Jake was working outside of business hours on some occations which for a solicitors office was refreshing. Keep up the good work i will certainly continue to use the Bishop Auckland office.

My brother was in Bishop Auckland Hospital and being sent to Sunderland for life saving surgery. He needed to make a will urgently and didn't know if a solicitor would go to the hospital. After ringing Meikles Bishop Auckland and speaking to a very nice lady it was organised for Amy Dodds from the Sedgefield branch to visit. Amy was brilliant and had his will made and signed with a follow up visit all in less than a week. The service could not have been better. It was a difficult time but my brother, thankfully, came through the operation and is recovering. This was at the end of February beginning of March. Thank you Amy and Meikles for a brilliant service very reasonably priced.

We used Meikles to support my daughter in the family law court. Chris was absolutely fantastic, straight talking and very knowledgeable regarding the laws re child arrangements. Can not recommend this guy and company enough!!!

Helpful staff professional work
Dreadful. Accepted my conveyancing case (a straightforward purchase) and also willingly accepted a £300 (!) fee for initial searches, then decided that they could not proceed with my case as I was selling another property. Baffling as it is common practice to sell a property and purchase another! They then charged me £60 for the privilege for works carried out. Disgraceful customer service. Avoid at all costs.
