I am extremely grateful to David Cobern, Abigail Dennis and Gosia Prout in helping me to achieve my initial objective, which was to achieve a fair financial settlement between myself and my former husband following our divorce. The matter is now concluded, and I feel a sense of completion, security and peace that would not have been possible for me, if it weren't for the assistance of The Family Law Company. Hi Jane, I just thought I would contact you and say hello after seeing on TV the case of Alex Batty, recently returned to his grandmother in UK after being 'abducted' by his mother and living an alternative lifestyle in the Pyrenees for 6years. It reminded me of my own experience in searching for Runa back in 2007 and eventually her return in 2008. And the wonderful work you did on our behalf for which I I will always be extremely grateful! We now live in Penzance and Runa is in her final year at Brighton Uni studying art and illustration . she now has a younger brother Isaac. I hope all is well with you Jane. Hi Jessica, just updating you on how the meeting went today. It all went in my favour. They said that I have all the rights over lily and I could go and get her if I wanted to. We have agreed that she is staying there whilst me and lily work on our relationship and then she will be coming home! Couldn�t be happier and I�m so glad they have seen it for what it is. Thankyou so much for all of your advice and help I really do appreciate it! If it goes to a child arrangement order I will be in touch but hopefully it won�t get to that! Zoe Hewines was on my case from the very start until the end. I found the entire experience of being in court a very anxiety enduring experience, but fortunately I had Zoe there throughout to guide and reassure me the entire time. My case took place over the period of 2 years, during this time I built up a very good relationship with Zoe and she was able to understand my thoughts and feelings about the case. She was very invested in my case and helping me achieve my desired outcome. At times I didn�t understand some of the more complicated legal proceedings but I could always rely on her to talk me through it all often numerous times until I was confident I understood everything that I needed to. My statements written out by Zoe after taking my instruction were always very accurate and to the point but also she always ensured that my feelings were portrayed well in them along side the facts. Something I always found extremely helpful was Zoe�s ability to remember small details from early on in my case which could be used later on to help support me. She kept perfect records on all of the documents such as email exchanges from the other party and was able to bring these forward evidence which strengthened my case time and time again. On my first appearance in the family courts Zoe was aware that I was extremely anxious and had no one to bring to the hearing with me so she went out of her way to attend the hearing to support and guide me through. Zoe would always ask about my son and would often recall details about him that I�d told her over the time period of our case which shows she was listening and had a genuine Interest in our well being. In the end I achieved my desired outcome in all aspects of my case and I only have Zoe to thank for this.

Norman Hartnell, without whom the children would be in a very different position today, certainly psychologically, but potentially physically. I can vividly remember my first call with Norman back in January 2020. I was riddled with fear and anxiety and having been told by four previous solicitors over the course of 6 months that I had little to no chance of being able to protect my children I had all given up. Norman had been recommended to me by a solicitor in Yeovil and I instantly knew that why; he actively listened to me as I unravelled on that first call , he gave me a realistic appraisal of our situation, he gave me some immediate and achievable actions, but most of all he gave me hope and treated me with kindness, not judgement, and I cannot begin to describe how much that matters, especially when your vulnerable and have no understanding or knowledge of Family Law. I hope my previous comments on Norman Hartnell have already expressed why, but I would just like to add that, Family Court lasted 3 years for myself and my children and it was the most intrusive, mentally and physically draining experience of my life, bar none. This process dominated our lives and we could not get through it without Norman�s continuous support and guidance. He is knowledgeable, he is considered and he is always calm and every time I panicked or felt threatened or upset by the actions of opposing counsel or the children�s father he was there to reframe and refocus my attention on the goal. And the goal was clear from the start. I just wanted my children to be heard. I wanted to give the children a chance to express themselves � this seems so simple yet is so often seemingly impossible to achieve in Family Court � because they were always so clear of what they wanted and what they didn�t want. Norman pathed the way for them to do this and importantly with those that had the ability to impact their lives irrevocably. Our Final Order is something I never thought possible and I will always be grateful to Norman for everything he did to make it happen because ultimately he has kept my children safe.
