I approached this solicitors as my mother had previously recommended them to me prior to her death. I asked them if they could apply for probate and settle mum’s estate as instructed by her in the will she had made. I and my two sisters had been nominated as equal executors as well as beneficiaries in the will and there were clear instructions regarding her previous income streams, her regular bills and insurance policies as well as final payments that might be necessary. Gordon Blackstock did very much as I had asked, by fulfilling the requests made by mum in her will settling any outstanding debts as well as recovering all of mum’s assets held in her bank accounts and the sale of her house before finally sending us the remaining balance from her estate in equal amounts of money by way of a cheque. Gordon is very ably assisted by his assistant; Charlotte Cullis who was very kind and supportive to me on more than one occasion. I could occasionally become upset while discussing details regarding mums estate with Charlotte, however she knew instinctively the right things to say to comfort and support me and immediately put me at ease. I am extremely grateful to Charlotte in particular as well as Gordon for delivering an excellent service to both me and my sisters and we can’t thank them enough. Regards, Bob, Hazel and Kathy.

Gordon Stuart Cooper Blackstock

Having recently lost our mother in February 2024, I approached this company’s Cinderford office because my mother had recommended them to me in the event of her death, as they had previously served her well. I had previously met Glenn Pitman, the solicitor in Cinderford when he advised my mother on a matter about which she was troubled. He was very helpful to mum and put her mind at rest after a 30 minute consultation which was free of charge. Mum immediately took a liking to the man; hence her recommendation to me. I instructed Glenn to handle the legalities associated with selling mum’s house in conjunction with those services provided by Dean Estate Agents, who are located 3 doors up the road. The services provided by P.B. &W together with the estate agent were excellent and as simple as A- B- C. The two ladies at the front of office; Sarah and Bev are perfect for the roles they have in the office; hardworking, diligent, polite, efficient and fun. These two ladies are very capably supported by Amanda Clarke the Conveyancing Manager. The business seems to run like a well oiled machine: if it were a car, the two ladies at the front of the office are analogous to a modern hybrid petrol engine doing all the work, with Amanda the automatic paddle shift gearbox delivering power to the wheels and Glenn the engine management system. Their achievements together result in an excellent customer focused service, as they will do anything and every thing for you to get the outcome you want. We can’t thank them enough. Without wishing to pour too much scorn, we have never known such inept communication or lack thereof, from someone employed and paid to support you through complex legal matters, such has been the case with Ross White and his team at Pitman Blackstock White. We decided to go for a local solicitor to deal with our legal issues and boy was that a mistake. The icing on the cake was a bill that no-one was able to decipher. What a shambles!

If there was no stars I would select that..... Hopeless, rude, dishonest. Not helpful at all and will not respond or advise correctly. This has led to huge personal losses. Do yourself a favour and AVOID. YOU have been warned.
