Selecting PLS is the worst decision I have ever made. I used them for a property purchase in 2020 and that decision haunts me to this day - the issues I am now uncovering after 6 years and the lack of engagement to resolve them mean I cannot encourage others more strongly to use an alternative. Even the post completion team on the phones express their frustration at how slow the solicitor teams are to respond. Recently when I said to one that I had emailed the ResiFlexi team a couple of days ago with an urgent issue they said "there's no chance they will have looked at it yet". The irony of being called pls when they make you beg for any sort of response. I have made an official complaint to the compliance team and to add insult to injury the team on the phone won't even speak to me because of the mark on my account.

I’m a first time buyer and I would highly recommend these. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing through out this process but they guided me and helped me out at everything step. Would like to thank Lydia Atkinson she was great

I wouldn’t recommend this company as they have hidden charges that they only bring to light once you’ve made your first payment, so then it feel like entrapment and when you try to call them directly to discuss they continually end your call so you can’t get through to them

Outright unprofessional shambolic bunch. We couldn't take anything they said for granted as they were so untrustworthy. Key steps missed which has cost us money. We complained and their own internal review agreed and even gave a us a discount (despite the review not being carried out when they said it would be- untrustworthy). Even with the discount we still feel very hard done by. Do not use.

Avoid if possible. We used PLS Solicitors during the purchase of our home after they were highly recommended by Taylor Wimpey — something we genuinely regret. From the beginning, our experience was frustrating. The team dealing with our purchase repeatedly delayed completion, often with little to no communication. On several occasions, they requested information that had already been provided, causing unnecessary delays and putting us in a position where we were at serious risk of losing our financial deal. Nearly a year later, we are now trying to remortgage and have discovered that our Land Registry title still hasn’t been completed. The application has been expedited since May, yet despite countless emails and phone calls, we have received very little meaningful communication or explanation. The response has repeatedly been along the lines of “we’re working on it”, which is simply not good enough when significant amounts of money and our financial circumstances are at stake. They have had around three months to deal with this, and incredibly, on the very day of the deadline given by HM Land Registry, they finally submitted some of the outstanding information. They have now requested an extension, which risks causing even further delays and financial difficulties for us. What should have been a straightforward legal process has instead caused an enormous amount of stress, uncertainty and financial worry. We have had to constantly chase for updates rather than being kept informed by the solicitors who are supposed to be handling matters on our behalf. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend doing your own research rather than simply relying on a developer’s recommendation. We certainly wish we had. Extremely disappointing service from start to finish.

We had a good experience with PLS. Mairtin was helpful throughout the process and did everything possible to speed things up for us towards the end. We really appreciated his support and efforts.

Not a great experience especially for an anxious first time buyer. They still owe me money after 2 months of finishing the process. Took far too long overall considering there was no chains and I did chasing on enquiries they should have chased for me as that’s what I was paying them for. They also at one point lied to say I was ready to go and I’d got all prepared and then they said a day before the supposed completion date that it wasn’t actually all done. They added loads of extra charges on after the initial quote, and never actually gave me or my Mortgage adviser a proper break down when I asked for it but then during completion I felt I had to pay or the sale would be even more delayed. Cost way more than I thought at the end and now they owe me money and keep ignoring my emails chasing for it. They don’t provide very good customer experience as they’re obviously busy dealing with a lot of clients but it felt like no one was ever looking at my case unless I really pushed it, so not reassuring for first time buyers. I have learnt lessons. I also got hung up on one phone call one time! I just want the money that I’m owed!

Used PLS solicitors as advised by Bovis homes when purchasing a new build back in February. Home was completed in March, everything was pretty straight forward up to that point. However, after moving in the new build developers informed me that they had in fact given me the wrong home address due to revised site plans and therefore needed to change my address on everything.. bit of a pain! They informed PLS of this and asked them to support me with changing relevant legal documentation. That was in March. We are now in August, and this hasn’t been completed. I have chased Emma Su’s team weekly both via phone and email, yet she will not respond to me. I’ve changed most things myself, but am unable to change the address on my mortgage with Barclays without supporting documentation from PLS. The communication has been absolutely shocking, and to this day I am still trying to get in touch with them. I have filed 2 formal complaints and they haven’t even acknowledged these! Do not use this company. Absolute joke. I will be taking my complaints further.

Rang to get a new quote on buying a new build and selling my own property. Email and name were spelt wrong.. no worries.. called to get this amended. Statexld it was fixed. It wasn't. Rang again to get this fixed and was transferred 5 times untill I reached the department I began in. Told it would be "sent to head office" and wait 24 hours. Again this wasn't fixed. Finally got email address corrected after yet another phonecall and forms sent through to get things going. Upon signing in my Surname still had spelling issues despite multiple calls with this being clearly stated phonetically. This took place over a week and a half. I Can't tell you what they are for the rest of the process but the onboarding was really really poor. Had to call to cancel and find an alternative. Avoid.
