We used Kingsley Bond for our property purchase and had a very disappointing experience. Multiple billing errors were made, including incorrect VAT charges and a demand for nearly £1,000 on completion day with no explanation. We were never provided with an invoice despite repeated requests for clarification, and when we queried the figures we were told everything was correct - which it was not. Errors were only identified through the intervention of our mortgage adviser. The firm has refunded the incorrect charges but has not provided a satisfactory explanation for what happened. Our formal complaint was escalated to the CEO who promised a response within 28 days - we are still waiting. Would not recommend.

Similar to others below we have found Kingsley Bond a frustrating and unnecessarily stressful firm. They handled both the selling and purchasing recommended by our estate agents. Our final cost was over double what was “estimated”. Extra charges included transaction fees for every transaction1 Kingsley Bond chase you for £60 one day, £75 the next then a further small amount to seemingly keep their total ticking over. Their working hours mean you can never get hold of anyone on the phone to clarify as they have left by 3pm. Even after sale and purchase completion, we were getting further bills for “miscalculations”. Absolutely would not recommend.

We hired KB for both the sale of our previous home and the purchase of our new one, and they managed everything seamlessly. Jay, Guy and rest of the team were thorough, kept us regularly updated, and clearly communicated any changes or progress. Costs, timelines and the process were always explained clearly, which made everything much less stressful. Any issues were handled responsibly and professionally. We would happily recommend them and use them again.

We recently used Sophie Wilson and her team for the sale of our house and the purchase of the new home. While the sale was a relatively simple transaction, the purchase was hugely challenging. Throughout the process Sophie gave us guidance, responded efficienty and had to act as a counsellor due the challenges we faced. Now we are in and the dust has settled we can (almost) look back and laugh at how difficult it was but there's no doubt without Sophie's persistance the transaction would have fallen through.

Make sure you ask for Freya, she was brilliant, answered all my questions, was pro-active, made things easy for a first-time buyer, and is a lovely person in general. I felt supported and guided through the whole process. If you use Kingsley Bond, make sure you are clear about all their extra charges which quickly add up.
