Not happy
I was very disappointed with the representation I received from a representative at this firm's Folkestone branch. Before my interview, I felt strongly guided to admit to the offences on the understanding that it would likely result in a police caution rather than court. I followed this advice and made the admissions. However, the police changed their approach and I was ultimately charged with all three offences anyway. In my opinion, the advice I received did not properly prepare me for this outcome, and I regret trusting the guidance provided. I would advise others to think carefully about the implications of the advice given by the duty representatives here. Advice for other clients: Based on my experience, I would highly recommend asking for a written summary or a very clear explanation of the potential outcomes before acting on any advice regarding police station interviews. If you are discussed options like police cautions, ensure you fully understand that the final decision always rests with the police and the Crown Prosecution Service, not the solicitor. I found that relying entirely on verbal assurances about what might happen after an interview left me unprepared for the actual legal outcome. I would advise future clients to ask extensive questions and clarify exactly what will happen if the police decide to change their approach during custody.
