Platt & Fishwick Limited

A very disappointing experience I first used this practice in a previous incarnation in the late 70s and the odd occasion since then however after this experience I won’t be going near them again. Emails are completely ignored and telephone messages for call back also don’t get any response. On a slightly positive side I did receive an apology and a small reduction in fees however this didn’t go close to address the detrimental impact. I did provide written feedback to the practice head but sadly the response I got didn’t address the points and examples made. I again informed Platt & Fishwick of this unfortunately but expectedly this didn’t even get a reply. I shouldnt be surprised at this given my experience. Looking at other reviews I don’t believe I had a unique experience

It is now over 3 years since my relative died and we have still not resolved this. Without my prompting I don't believe much would have been done and they did admit that nothing happened for a while when one solicitor retired. It is so disappointing when you are just looking for closure

We had an excellent experience with Platt and Fishwick throughout our recent house move. From our offer being accepted on 15/12/2025 to moving into our new home on 27/02/2026, the whole process was handled efficiently and at great speed. A special mention must go to Leslie Davies and her team, who were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were professional, proactive, and always on hand to answer any questions, keeping everything moving smoothly and reducing what can often be a stressful process. We truly appreciated their hard work, communication, and dedication to getting everything completed so quickly. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone buying or selling a home.

Absolutely Terrible service, They are rude ,very poor in getting a replying back , they are ment to act on your behalf they are not intrested in the slightest. talk about stretching things out . money for old rope bad experience never again . Thank goodness for other solicitors..

Awful service. Family member passed away 2 years ago and Platt & Fishwick still hold his money that has been designated to be given to a local hospice. Multiple chasing calls are ignored or told “there’s a couple of things to sort out” with promises regularly broken. The house has been sold with new people living there yet Platt & Fishwick continue to hold the hospice money. Shameful
