Rachel and Lewis were great in terms of the service provided. They provided quick responses to my questions, detailed answers, and their system meant I received automated daily activity emails so I could see what they’re getting up to and have confidence my re-mortgage was progressing in a timely fashion.
However, HH Law are very expensive in my experience and I won’t be using them again in future. For example:
• The all in fees excluding disbursements was just under £1,000, far more than what I’ve paid previously when I’ve re-mortgaged.
• Their fees basis felt a bit like Ryanair where the base fee was only £150, but then very quickly there were lots of added extras that just racked up.
• Some of the added extras felt disproportionate. Eg The charge for the source of funds check was £120+, which is higher than what i've seen elsewhere (indeed I usually see it included within the core fee) and the job itself just involves reviewing a bank statement, which is a very quick job.
• As another example, I was charged £42 for HH to make a payment to the management company, which I could’ve done myself in 30 seconds on my banking app. Unfortunately, this was never communicated to me as an option and hence I was levied with this extra charge.

Buying my first property felt very daunting. Rhys and libby where there every step of the way and made it super easy to navigate. Couldn’t recommend them enough if you are as lucky as me to be allocated them!
