I had previous experience of this company from a previous business life and had hoped that they had got better - I was disappointed. It was a large cost for a simple process. They chased for completed documents that had already been hand delivered. They required up-front part payment (from an email) and refused to provide an invoice - which made it difficult to get payment approval internally. They required final payment (from an email) without an invoice (which made it difficult to get payment approval internally) before they would complete the works. They finally sent an invoice under separate cover which suddenly declared VAT amounts and details - which undermined our internal approval process. They have requested this review before the task (land registration) has been finalised - hence the 'No' to the outcome satisfaction.

We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify the points raised to ensure transparency : Pricing - all costs, and a full breakdown, including VAT were provided at the outset of the instruction, and our services for the work were competitively priced and accepted. Payment on account - it is standard industry practice to request a payment on account before undertaking work. This is outlined in the client care letter and terms of engagement. Progress - after reviewing our records, any chasing was in respect of the payment on account, not documentation as stated. Our scope of work for the transaction was completed on the filing of the documentation with HM Land Registry. As explained, the timeline for HM Land Registry to deal with the registration is outside our control. Thank you again for your feedback and the opportunity to review your concerns.
