I have been to see Mr Byrne twice this year and he has been very good and telling me what I should and shouldn’t be doing, he read me all the documentation through asking me if I understood each paragraph along the way, I would highly recommend this firm of Solicitors to anyone they are local too.

We started the probate process in March 2025 heartbreakingly for both grandparents. The lack of communication is disgusting, we've ended up physically walking into offices to get a response. We appreciate there was a solicitor leaving but we assume she was never going to get paid on this case the new solicitor in question said she just didn't do any work on it and left it in a complete mess. Sometimes we we left chasing for up to 3 weeks to get any response. At this point we wanted to ask for our money back ( we had agreed a fixed of £1800 per probate) but as we had such an excellent experience with using H&R selling our house decided to give them another go which we now sorely regret. After being told last week the last probate had been finished and we could collect at the back end of this week we called twice on Thursday and was ignored and twice on Friday. At 3pm a secretary said oh I was going to call you to see if you wanted to collect but I won't hand it over unless you clear a balance of £2600 ( we have already paid £3186) still to this point H&R haven't provided an invoice or a breakdown in fees. If you are going through the absolute torture of losing someone you love this is not a family friendly supportive firm if anything they just make things so much worse.
Losing loved ones is incredibly difficult, and we regret that your experience with us during such a painful time fell short of the supportive service you deserved. We would welcome the opportunity to investigate what happened. Please contact us directly as client confidentiality limits what we can discuss in a public forum.
Rebecca Bird provided a first class professional service when dealing with my late Mothers will , and assisting myself and my husband to update our wills. We were kept informed throughout. Highly recommend.

I have used H&R solicitors over the last few years for a variety of reason including the sale and purchase of a house, and more recently, the creation of mine and my husbands wills. The process from start to finish has been seamless and stress free. The advice has been informative, accurate but never persuasive of pushy. Chrissey and Nadine are a wonderful team who delivered over and above and whom I would have no hesitation recommending (and have done to a couple of friends) and whom I would definitely use again even though I live 3 hours away. Leons extensive knowledge, competence and clarity of explanation at all stages during a difficult time meant that I trusted his advice and felt confidence in him throughout. Leon Messam has been my legal representative throughout divorce and family court proceedings over a period of several years. Leon is not only extremely knowledgeable and committed to giving his clients the best possible representation and service, he does so not only with sensitivity, and empathy but within a set of values and principles. He is also direct and honest and explains the process and options really clearly. Leon was my solicitor for my divorce. Leon sorted out my financial order and was amazing from start to finish. I was very stressed and no idea what to do. Leon explained everything clearly to me. Paige has taken me through a transfer of equity and buying a shared ownership property this year, during a very difficult time. She kept me informed throughout, offered compassionate advice and did her best to keep things moving quickly. Every time I had to pop into the office Weronica was great, friendly, quick and efficient. They both made a really difficult start of the year, much easier than it might otherwise have been. The quotes I received for services, were also comparable to some of the 'cheap' Internet solicitors, which I was initially caught out with, I used a firm that I found on the Internet, which suddenly closed down, with no notice to staff or clients.
