Taken 8 years and reporting them to the legal ombudsman and they still haven’t finalised the simple purchase of buying some land off a neighbouring farmer who also used a solicitor in the same firm to make things easy. Once they had my money they couldn’t care less and have just ignored me. Avoid this company at all costs.

They are dealing with me being a first time buyer. So far very helpful and informative. I also required a witness to a signature which was dealt with promptly and because I was already a client did it free of charge. Thank you to everyone who has been helping me.

We used them as conveyancers in our house move during the COVID lockdown. They were a bit slow and sometimes difficult to contact. This may have been partly due to the pandemic. But the real issue was their lack of any apology or possibility of compensation when they decided not to inform us of an indemnity issue which then cost us when we resold the property. Brendan Steer did eventually send us an email quoting some relevant case in the past, which was at the very least rather pompous. Our grievance could have been settled very amicably, but in the end we had no choice but to go through the ombudsman, who found in our favour. Please note this is a review of the conveyancing. We had an excellent experience dealing with Mr Murray for our wills to be drawn up.

Sarah Smith did a superb job for us, doing the conveyance of our sale and purchase. She kept us informed all the way, without chasing, which was such a great thing. We would highly recommend her.
