    Fitness to practice

    I called upon the services of Everys at very short notice & in an emotional state. From the outset Everys were calm warm reassuring & helped me feel at ease. They were very clear & upfront about costs & went the extra mile engaging their known networking contacts to provide a barrister to my fitness to practice interim hearing despite a very tight time scale. If it was not for Everys the whole experience would have been all the more traumatic especially given it was in festive period. The firm continued to update me on a regular basis with practical guidance. They were kind & had empathy.

    Very pleased, very professional

    I met with Isabella and instantly felt at ease with what I was finding to be an overwhelming situation, she broke down all aspects of my specific case into easily understandable pieces and gave me a clear direction to proceed in. I could not recommend Isabella highly enough and should I ever find myself in a position where I require legal advice again I would not have any doubt in making Everys my first choice.

    Very Efficient Conveyancing

    We had a long and pretty complicated chain, which never having negotiated such a beast before, was somewhat worrisome. However, our solicitor was excellent, always helpful and reassuring. The fees may have been a bit more than if we'd used a conveyancing company - I don't know and frankly I don't care - there are times when paying for a proper service delivered by people who know their business has a real value, and this was one of them. Highly recommended.

    Visited the Honiton office to ask about completion of Land Registry ID1 forms only (no legal representation). The receptionist was dismissive and made it clear my enquiry was an inconvenience. I was then quoted £450 per person for the ID1 verification. After querying this, I contacted several other local solicitors the same day and received quotations ranging from £5 to £120 for the identical service. I raised a formal complaint. The firm confirmed the fee was intentional and that they do not wish to undertake this type of work unless it leads to substantive conveyancing, and therefore price it accordingly. While the firm is entitled to set its own fees, the experience and pricing were wholly out of line with local norms. I would not use Everys again for routine matters.

With regard to the fee for completing an ID1 form, this is set in line with the obligations placed upon us by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The cost reflects not only the appointment itself, but also the time spent completing the form, verifying identification, and securely storing a copy for future reference. These records are often relied upon years later, when the party requesting the ID1 may contact us to confirm that we met with you in person and completed the form correctly. We were sorry to hear your comments about your interaction with our receptionist. This came as a surprise, as we regularly receive very positive feedback from clients—and from external “secret shopper” assessments—highlighting their friendly and helpful approach. That said, we take your experience seriously, and we will reflect on your comments to ensure we continue to offer the standard of service we aim for. Kind regards, Everys

      We would 100% recommend using Ella Wright at Everys for house conveyancing. She looked after the sale and purchase of our property and was very efficient and accurate with her dealings for what turned into a slightly difficult sale. She pushed other solicitors in the chain and was ready to go when others weren’t. She also found us a much cheaper indemnity than the one our buyers solicitor asked us to purchase (we appreciated that!) and looked after us very well. Thank you Ella.
