BG Solicitors is one of the oldest established practices in Grimsby, set up by the late Mr Tom Beetenson on 1st January 1944. He was joined in 1953 by Lawrence Gibbon and their initials still remain as the name of our firm.     So reassuring and professional

    It’s the first time that I’ve been to court and Denise contacted me prior, to walk me through the process. It made things a lot easier on the day, and I was amazed at how comfortable I felt in her hands. The file, put together by Leah Heckles, was so professional. Everything the Judge needed to know about the case was there, in order. Denise was fabulous. She did all the talking and made everything seem quite effortless. Kept to point and truth and dealt with any complication with ease. After the hearing she took me in to a room just to see how I was and make sure that I was happy with the outcome, of which I was. I would highly recommend her for your court proceedings. Really happy and it made what I thought would be a stressful experience, very comfortable. Thank you Denise!

    Representation at short notice for myself.

    I had need of representation at short notice for a potentially very costly property matter. Denise had little time to prepare but still managed a detailed preparation which gave me the best chance for success and a way forward.

    TERRIBLE. Avoid this firm. Unhelpful and unresponsive staff who don't even follow their own formal complaints procedure, and when they do, only say what they need to to cover their backs if the SRA got involved. I was given a new solicitor and didn't even know their name for 2 and a half months, it wasn't until I mentioned pulling out of the sale that they got in touch. Weird! The negative reviews do not lie.

    CUSTOMERS BEWARE After I have use this company for many years and had fantastic service from Georgina Gibbon I will say that where it stops. As Georgia suddenly had a disagreement and left the company one of my sales had gone to the grimsby office which I was very dubious of as poor service from there is an understatement. Ben Barber (Partner) had recently acted for me in a litigation case for me to which because he was o leave Laura Nee (Partner) represented me in court and to say the judge was not happy was an understatement as he told her how badly she was prepared for the day and that she had not even read the file to which she then went on to blame Ben Barber to me say she had what she had. I found her blame culture to be something I have heard in the school playground when nothing was her fault when Infact i have never been so poorly represented. So as they have wrongly deducted money from funds of the sale of the land that has taken forever to complete then I have been left with no option than to take Ben Barber and BG Solicitors to court to recover my money. So in a nut shell this is not a company I would recommend and I would advise you to read the bad reviews before your intrust your sale of a property and any foam of litigation with this company.     I would highly recommend bg solicitors. I used them for some family matters and they was absolutely amazing! There was always someone to take my calls, replied fast to emails and was so reassuring and helpfull. I would definitely recommend kiera Rodgers if you need help with these matters.

    BG Solicitors, my experience was very poor, communication extremely slow, paid my account in Feb 2023 after it was closed, months later I am being asked to pay again, I was sent another letter yesterday 14th June 2023 threatening legal action, terrible service, would not recommend them.

      We used BG solicitors for will writing (Miriam) & conveyancing (Bradley & James) received great advice and outstanding service from everyone. I've moved house several times and never had a solicitor so responsive. Any questions were answered same day, there was a portal to keep up to date with progress. When things got sticky enquiries were made promptly. With our will writing everything is fully explained and any questions answered. I am fully confident we now have the right protections for our family. Fees are competitive, there are 5 office across the Hunber region Hessle, Barton, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Louth so easy to pop in for appointnents or to drop off/collect. I would highly recommend

      Do yourself a favour and find a different solicitors. Used them recently and communication from them is really poor. Don't reply to emails in a timely manner and don't reply to answer phone messages at all. Will never use again.
