Law firms ranked by client reviews

Forced marriage work covers protecting someone from being coerced into a marriage and challenging or preventing such arrangements. It involves civil protection orders, enforcement, and coordination with police where necessary. A solicitor helps secure protection, assess risk, and navigate the court process to safeguard the vulnerable, including applying for orders and advising on related safeguarding steps.

Where a solicitor protects your position

The protection offered by a solicitor helps prevent irreversible decisions and criminal or civil consequences. Ian Spender

Tagged solicitor Ian Spender

Mr Spender came to our home, as my husband and I found great difficulty in climbing the stairs to his office. He took great trouble in explaining the Lasting Power of Attorney to us. I was able to read the forms, but my husband, who has Macular Degeneration could not. Mr Spender spent time and effort in reading the forms to him. In fact, nothing was too much trouble for Mr Spender, who put us both at ease. I highly recommend Mr Spender for his professionalism and his genuine concern for our welfare.

Melanie Bridgen

Tagged solicitor Melanie Bridgen

I contacted Melanie Bridgen from Nelsons Solicitors in Derby for advice in child arrangement. Her knowledge was more than I could ask for. She helped me through every concern I had and with her colleague Melanie Theakstone put together my wishes, contacted my ex, made sure that everything I legally wanted it was written down as clear for the court application as possible. They followed my case through CAFCASS and the final court order. Mrs. Bridgen had straight questions, and answers to everything. They took the process of my shoulder, and in 2 months I have received the final order from court (with Christmas included). I cannot be more thankful for their job and knowledge.
