Top 10 of 4,157 law firms for Nullity Proceedings, Family Law

Law firms ranked by client reviews

Nullity proceedings involve asking a court to declare that a marriage never validly existed, or that it is void or voidable, on specific grounds such as lack of capacity or consent, bigamy, prohibited degrees of relationship, or non-consummation. A solicitor drafts and issues the petition, gathers evidence, and conducts correspondence with the court. They arrange medical or psychological evidence if required, and manage financial and child-related orders as part of the overall process, including any proposed separation arrangements.

Where a solicitor protects your position

The decision to grant a nullity is time-bound and legally decisive, because it recognises that the marriage did not meet the formal requirements of a valid union. A solicitor ensures the proper handling of court deadlines, coordinates with the court, and represents the client in hearings, while advising on the implications for property, finances, and children.

Melanie Bridgen

Tagged solicitor Melanie Bridgen

I contacted Melanie Bridgen from Nelsons Solicitors in Derby for advice in child arrangement. Her knowledge was more than I could ask for. She helped me through every concern I had and with her colleague Melanie Theakstone put together my wishes, contacted my ex, made sure that everything I legally wanted it was written down as clear for the court application as possible. They followed my case through CAFCASS and the final court order. Mrs. Bridgen had straight questions, and answers to everything. They took the process of my shoulder, and in 2 months I have received the final order from court (with Christmas included). I cannot be more thankful for their job and knowledge.

Keri-Anne Bradley

Tagged solicitor Keri-Anne Bradley

Wow. When pray for help, sometimes you get sent an angel. Keri-Anne Bradley At the family law group not only showed me genuine care, but she was straight with me. She took my case on even with a huge work load from other areas because she was genuinely concerned for my children and she put them first the whole way through. I felt safe with her and the trust was instantly there which I struggle with when it comes to solicitors due to past experiences with others! She got us the results we needed in an emergency situation and now my children are so much happier for it. The bar is set very high with this one! Absolute angel, and extremely professional. Thank you from me for your amazing service and my family would all like to say thank you as well!
