Top 10 of 4,159 law firms for Short Marriages, Family Law

Law firms ranked by client reviews

Short marriages cover divorce financial matters where the union lasted only a brief period, so the assets, housing and pensions are divided with attention to fairness and the needs of any children. A solicitor in this area gathers financial information, helps model likely needs and shares, drafts and negotiates a financial settlement, and, if required, prepares or reviews a court application for a consent order or further court order to formalise the agreement.

Where a solicitor protects your position

The decision points in these matters are time‑sensitive and may lock in housing, pensions or other capital. A solicitor ensures proceedings reflect the short duration, protects rights to housing and income, and, where relevant, helps secure a clean break or specific pension sharing, while ensuring a legally binding order is properly drafted and lodged for enforcement.

...Jim and Jack dealt with the forming of a new company and with that a gift of shares and a share purchase forming part of a divorce settlement (so everything had the potential to be a bit antagonistic between the parties..) but these guys were on the ball, soaked up the necessary messing about but held their ground when they needed to. Great service.
