Occupation Rent covers disputes over paying rent for someone who occupies a property without a formal tenancy, or under a licence or similar arrangement, and the steps to recover possession or set the rent level. A solicitor in this area handles drafting and negotiating licences, notices to quit or rent reviews, and representing the client in possession or rent recovery proceedings in the county court. They may also advise on the documentation needed to prove occupation and the options for resolving arrears or occupancy disputes.

Tagged solicitor Rachel Hardingham
Rachel Hardingham at Winckworths has guided us through the enfranchisement of our Kennington flat along with the other leaseholders and then through its sale with calm professional advice throughout. There were some tricky legal points which Rachel dealt with superbly and I would recommend her services to anyone seeking to go through the same processes
