Nelson's in Nottingham, especially Karen Salt offered a great service to my family. They provided very professional 'will and probate' advice during healthy times; and a very caring service to my mother and father, especially during the later stages of my father's life and post funeral. Everything was clear and easy to understand; always conveyed in the 'right' way. I would highly recommend the newly re-furbished Nottingham office for this very reason, let alone the easy to find location, ample parking and only a stones throw from bus stops/taxis for those who require public transport. For anyone with difficulties walking or require some assistance, the office layout is superb!. Following the death of my husband, I was faced with the issues of dealing with transferring title of our jointly held French property (a very small house) into my name only and subsequently the sale of the house. I had no knowledge of the stages involved or how to approach them. These difficulties were compounded by a very unresponsive Notaire in France. Lea came to my rescue, explained the process and various stages involved and undertook the negotiations with the Notaire. It transpired to be a long process (although I now understand that it is inevitably much longer than in the UK) but Lea chased and followed up with the Notaire, resulting in a successful transfer of title and sale. I have known Hawley & Rodgers, Loughborough and therefore David Rodgers from my professional life for many years and subsequently personal life. They, and in particular Michelle Frisby and her team, have 'held my hand' through differing, sometimes complicated, matters relating to property. They have undertaken probate for me which was dealt with so sympathetically and quickly by Caroline Williams. In addition they have taken care of our Wills guiding us to help us achieve what we wished. H&R are a most ethical, kind and helpful practice that will only charge a client fair fees which is a great comfort.
