DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY

This company are a bunch of bullies. Liability Disputes: If the at-fault driver's insurance later disputes liability or refuses to pay the inflated credit hire rates, you may be held personally liable for the thousands of pounds in rental charges and they will bully you all the way claiming you will be liable to pay them thousands of pounds if you do not ho along with what they are asking. We were intimidated for over 2.5 years, had us in tears and were sick to the pits of our stomach because of these thieves! Do not ever get involved with them.

Personal Injury

Claim progressed only after formal complaint – serious communication issues

My accident occurred on 19 December 2025, when another driver collided with the rear of my vehicle. Liability was admitted and the claim was handled by Winn Solicitors. The vehicle settlement itself was paid at the end of January, which I acknowledge. However, my experience with the handling of the case afterwards has been extremely disappointing. Since January, I have submitted evidence for several additional financial losses that arose as a direct result of the accident and the period during which my vehicle was unusable. These included travel expenses, insurance-related charges, lost glasses from the accident and other documented costs. Despite providing this evidence months ago, these items were not properly reviewed and I received very limited communication about the status of my claim. The most significant problem throughout the process has been lack of communication and unanswered correspondence: Multiple emails requesting updates went unanswered. My case handler changed without clear communication. I was not provided with the new handler’s contact details at the time. I repeatedly asked for written communication but often received phone calls instead of clear written responses. Because of the delays, I had to cover several accident-related expenses from my own funds while waiting for the claim to progress. I also explained in several emails from late January onwards that I needed clarity regarding the outstanding losses because I had to travel abroad due to serious family health circumstances. Unfortunately, those messages did not receive responses. Eventually, due to the lack of progress, I submitted a formal complaint. I have now been informed that the complaint has been referred to a Director for review in accordance with Winn Solicitors’ internal complaints procedure. I understand that legal claims can take time, but clients should reasonably expect clear communication, transparency and timely responses when a firm is handling their case. At the time of writing this review, I am still waiting for the remaining accident-related losses to be reviewed and resolved.

Please avoid this company at all cost. City council's lorry reversing back less than 5mph ran in to my car caused a minor damage to my write off car that I bought it in auction for £600 The driver of the lorry politely apologised and accepted it was his fault gave me his details told me as soon as he gets back to his office would sort the accident out and left. I have been driving for 40 years never been in this situation. As I went through goggle for some advice I called winn solicitors. As soon as they heard my story got the third party details they put me on hold checked with the third party and advised me the best course of action is to leave the case to them as I can save my no claim bonus. I was shocked when 2 days later they send a recovery to my house I refused the recovery but as they were instructed by Winn Solicitors told me if they recover my car my claim would be done quicker literally I gave them the key and they started the car and drove to recovery lorry they stored my car for 45 days. 2 days later they parked a hire car in front of my house put the key and hire agreement through the letter box that I refused to sign the hire agreement. Cut the story short they even value my car as a write off for £904 paid me than presented the charges as follows: solicitor fees £10.000, car hire and recovery £24.000 my car damage £904 in total of nearly £35.000. When they presented the charges to the third party they refused. Winn Solicitors wanted me taking them to court but I refused taking them to court the third party only paid £4000 then Winn solicitors trying to recover £20.000 from me. How ever we have been fighting for 3 years and after closing the case once Now they have taken me to court waiting for hearing. Please avoid Winn solicitors nothing but headache.

Avoid at all costs!!

1 Star – A Long, Stressful, and Disappointing Experience My experience with Winns Solicitors has been nothing short of stressful and frustrating. I would strongly advise anyone seeking a smooth, professional service to look elsewhere. I was involved in a non-fault road accident in 2022 and was referred to Winns Solicitors. From day one, communication was poor and the process was disorganised. While still stranded on a busy and dangerous roundabout with one of my pupils (I am a driving instructor), I was asked to provide every detail of the incident before any help was arranged. This was while I was shaken up, under pressure, and trying to keep my pupil safe. Throughout the entire claims process, I was rarely kept informed. I had to constantly chase for updates, and calls were often not returned. I was passed between different claim handlers with no clear continuity or accountability. Despite this being a non-fault accident, I was repeatedly asked to provide personal financial information supposedly required for the hire vehicle. Later, I was also told to submit tax returns for loss of earnings at extremely short notice — while I was on holiday — which caused unnecessary stress and anxiety. After almost three years, this ordeal has taken a real toll on my mental health and wellbeing. I sincerely hope I never have to deal with Winns Solicitors ever again

Worst company EVER

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received. I have been waiting over two months for my claim payment to be released, and despite contacting support multiple times, I am repeatedly given the same information with no resolution or progress. I am very dissatisfied with how this matter has been handled and the lack of effective communication or follow-through.
