We had a great experience with McKenzie Bell Solicitors. As first time buyers we were unsure of alot of things (as you can imagine). However this firm made the whole transition smooth for us from the beginning to the end. Just want to say a huge thank you to Lois Dokubo who was working on our case and on our behalf. Lois delivered excellent service. She was very efficient, reliable and communicated with us all through out the entire process. Kept us in the loop at all times and managed to close the sale within the expected date. She exceeded our expectations. This was the second time I had used Mckenzie Bell Solicitors at Washington regarding a property purchase, and you won’t find a better solicitor in the North-East of England.

Mckenize Bell looked after the sale of my property but also the purchase of my new property at the same time.

Deborah and the team (Joyce, Isabella, Andrea, and Carol) at the Washington branch are brilliant they helped with every stage of the process and couldn’t have been more friendly, approachable and client focused.

Moving will always be stressful for several reasons, but Deborah and the team took that stress away with simple and honest legal advice, even at times out of hours help and support trying to resolve certain matters.

Communication is always important when going through this process and the team were always keeping me regularly up to date with developments.

I will continue to use Mckenize Bell on any future legal advice.

You won’t regret partnering up with Mckenize Bell and the team at Washington.

Terrible experience, constantly having to chase things up, harassed for information I had handed in at the start of the process, they sat on updates for 2 weeks before telling me and after I paid for the searches they waited 6 weeks before requesting them. Another occasion, they photocopied some numbered, hand written responses by myself and sent them to our developer without typing them up professionally and without any context. Shambolic.

To top things off and add to the stress, they didnt send out our completion statement until a week after we had moved and failed to tell me they had still paid my previous estate agent £1800 at completion, even though I gave them notice earlier in the process that I had terminated my contract with them. I only found this out by checking the figures in our completion statement. However, I will say after raising a complaint I did receive my money back but this should never have happened.

I do feel there was a massive lack of transparency, honesty and professional behaviour by Mckenzie Bell's at times as they were meant to safeguard me and my wife during this stressful time.

Do not recommend.
