I used Waugh and Co recently and found their conveyancing service to be poor. The staff were rude and unhelpful on the phone. I would not use this firm again or recommend it.

Unresponsive- claim IT problems but it’s been nearly a month!
I had a simple enquiry regarding a prior matter. I emailed on 23 September, followed up on 3rd October, again on 8th October and then tried by phone on 10th October. Today I called again (16th October) with the promise of a call back which did not come. Really unhappy about the firm’s lack of basic politeness, a sub-set of professionalism.

Avoid at all cost. Extremely bad experience. Receptionist rude. Communication very poor or inexistant. Agreed on taking on a job and never even started 5 weeks after taking it on. Anthony McGowan would not talk to you or respond to emails. Even when he is at the office.

Very poor sevice
Had dealings with ANTHONY G MCGOWAN. After we had are main issue resolved he theN proceeded to ignore all my messages and phone call. 6 months later and I’m still awaiting a phone call back.I wouldn’t waste your time using him and his unprofessional behaviour

The reverse of the other review
These solicitors did the probate for my father-in-law, and subsequently rewrote my mother-in-law's will. Their kindness and courtesy was much needed at that time, and they were both professional, rapid and very inexpensive. So much so that I have recommended them to other people who have some experience of other solicitors, and who have expressed themselves similarly pleased. I realise that conveyancing is a very different matter, but our experience was very different to that of the other poster. Worth saying.
