Alan Hobden is a Partner, Solicitor and Head of the Criminal Defence Department. Alan obtained his Law degree at the University of East Anglia and continued his studies at the College of Law in Chancery Lane, London. He qualified as a Solicitor in September 1991 and was admitted as a Duty Solicitor in April 1992. Shortly after qualifying Alan became a Partner in another local law practice in Criminal, Family and Civil Litigation. Alan then joined Stephen Rimmer in 2005 and in 2006, he was made Partner and Head of the Criminal Department. Alan is the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration for Stephen Rimmer LLP and he is the Partner in charge of Trainee Solicitors and monitoring their progress. Alan attends police stations and Magistrates’ courts to represent Clients on a variety of matters each regularly. His main practice involves being the Litigator in serious and complex cases in the Crown Court. Alan is one of the most experienced Duty Solicitors and Litigators in Sussex.
