My case took far too long and the process was extremely disjointed with the change of personnel, and the loss of documents/emails and momentum. (I'm not even sure the original contact was a solicitor, as opposed to a Paralegal or Legal Assistant). Certainly at the beginning it never felt like I was being given adequate attention. There was a total absence of any technical or industrial knowledge which would have been key. For example, an engineers report was carried out on the particular lorry bed AFTER it had been repaired at a later date. This was completely pointless as the issue was the state of the lorry bed AT THE TIME of the incident. In the main, legal and financial issues weren't explained at an appropriate level; I have some technical knowledge, but know absolutely nothing about legal procedures or billing intricacies. The significant deductions from the final settlement did come as a bit of a surprise and I still don't really understand them; that is, I don't feel they were explained clearly enough for someone with my skill-set.
