Jo has recently joined the asbestos team at AmicusLaw and previously worked with Helen Grady at Simpson Millar. Prior to that she worked with national firm, Thompsons. Jo is able to connect really well with clients who are in highly sensitive and difficult situations. Clients easily warm to her and value her kindness and support. Recently the independent Legal 500 journal confirmed Jo as a valued team member for dealing with the sensitive mesothelioma cases and gave clients the feel of dealing with a small and friendly law firm and so Jo is now delighted to be with a tightknit team within a small and local firm. Jo has much job satisfaction from providing a pro bono service, or a definite No Win No Fee and also working on the difficult cases turned down by other law firms where intricate evidence has to be found in usually very tight timeframes.

    Amicus Law….A really professional law firm headed by Mrs Helen Grady and (in my case) very ably assisted by Ms Jo Duggan. Their in-depth knowledge of my condition (asbestos related cancer) led to a very satisfactory conclusion which took 2 years of their time to complete. Along every step they kept me informed of issues and recommended solutions when necessary. They were always available and easily contactable. I highly recommend this law firm and would without any doubt use their expertise again if needed.

    Amicus Law have been handling my case for a claim against the company responsible for my asbestos induced Mesothelioma. The case has proven to be asuccessful & I have nothing but praise for the professional manner in which Helen Grady and Jo Duggan have helped me through this difficult time. They are always available whenever I had a query with a quick response. I am happy to say that the private treatment they organised through St Josephs hospital, with Dr Jason Lester, is proving effective. The chemotherapy side effects included stomach & bowel issues, rashes, swollen gums, fatigue and weeping eyes. Fortunately these were generally mild in my case.

    Feeling quite emotional writing this as Helen has finally achieved justice for my late Dad Michael. My Dad chose Helen to represent him, and immediately warmed to her, ....as we did also. Whilst he hasn't been able to witness the final outcome he was always under no doubt that Helen would give 100% and that's exactly what she has done for us. We miss him so hugely and whilst nothing can replace him, the peace of mind that atleast justice has been achieved and that the outcome has meant that his hard work has paid off to ensure his family are financially secure would mean the world to him and certainly we are able to celebrate his legacy, all thanks to both Helen, Jo and team. They were unwavering in their commitment to achieving success for us and always always there to discuss things and reassure us at every stage.
