Amanda is over familiar wants to talk about going skiing with you, rather the details of the case. My case was multimillion pound divorce case. Amanda could never spell my ex-husbands name correctly in documents. Amanda completely re-named his business something else entirely in her correspondence. Amanda could not add up spreadsheets, Amanda asked for X in monthly maintenance but the spreadsheet added up to Y. The errors were unbelievable. Ananda did not tell advise my court date, I found out via my ex husband I called up Amanda to find out and she was on holiday. Amanda promised she would return my call and never did. I terminated Amanda and she begged and pleaded and offered discount but I had no confidence in Amanda whatsoever. I am pursuing Ananda legally. Amanda has offered me some compensation but this was unsatisfactory. Amanda was also 30 mins late for a meeting that lasted an hour, Amanda charged me for 3 hours! Her bills are very inaccurate.

Going through a divorce and matrimonial issues can be extremely stressful but McAlister Family were incredible, the support, the guidance and their counsel has been exemplary. Headed by Amanda McAlister who takes the time to personally oversee all the cases and was on hand whenever I needed for advice and support. I was assigned to Charlotte and then Ashleigh who were thorough and their attention to detail was second to none. I was also able to use the expertise of Agata Napora and Jason Stanley whom helped me with other aspects pertaining the matrimonial issues whom I am extremely grateful to. The empathy they show for this incredibly difficult time as well as their knowledge of law, I would highly recommend.

I first met Amanda Jane McAllister when I was at the lowest point of my life, I had just found out that my wife for 21 years had been cheating on me for around a year behind my back in 2010. During this year I was subjected to physical and emotional abuse to a large scale, I later realized that this was done in attempt to provoke a reaction from me to get me out of the house however I just thought my wife was going through depression therefore as I caring husband I didn't notice or see what was going on in my life however obvious at this time. From my first appointment with Amanda, I found her very approachable, thoughtful, caring and understanding towards me, to be honest I didn’t know what day it was at that time of life and didn’t see a way forward for myself or didn’t particularly want one. I didn’t know where to start getting through a divorce, however with Amanda’s encouragement, professionalism and continuous support I got through it, she went above and beyond for me, and I will never forget that. I know I couldn’t have done it without her in anyway at all. I initially instructed Amanda McAlister who gave me a clear focus and options during a very difficult time in my life when everything was falling apart and I felt like I had no choices about my future. I needed her objectivity and encouragement to set me on the right path Thereafter I worked with Heather Lucy, who at the time was a qualified solicitor. Heather was wise beyond her years post qualification and always went above and beyond to reassure me that my case was progressing in the right way. She has a great personal touch, which client’s need when they find themselves going through this type of life changing event. I instructed Mcalister law about 4 years ago and my Divorce has only just finalized. My Divorce was very complex, as my ex wife had moved assets to try and defeat my claim. What followed was a lengthy legal battle which consisted of a trial within a trial to effectively return assets to the rightful owner so that this could be Included in the marital . My large pension was then assessed using a Pension Actuary to enable a true value of worth when sorting the financial matters. My Ex wife and her solicitors would not negotiate at all the whole Divorce hearing went to the wire, George Wilson handled and oversaw my case right up to conclusion. It was particularly frustrating for him because the other side would deliberately try and cause problems and additional expense. The judge saw right through it it the end due to the determination by George Wilson who had put a detailed case together for Trial, The barrister who was instructed By Mcalister Law could not have achieved the result that he did if it hadn’t been for the hard work from George Wilson and the staff at Mcalister Law! I was over the moon with the result that Mcalister Law secured for me, which the other party had tried to argue was an 18 year marriage based on nothing more than a relationship which ended and continuity was broken before a short marriage of 5 years.... the judge ruled it was a 5 year marriage and my Ex wife received an 8.5 % of my pension based on a cash payment to myself which was later reduced to ZERO on an offsetting basis. So as you can see, good advice and good representation is worth every single penny! If I had not of had professional representation then I would be in a far far worse position now. My thanks goes out to Amanda Mcalister and the company but I would give particular thanks to George Wilson for everything he did for me. Thankyou
