I am a Chartered Legal Executive in the Wills, Trusts and Probate Team. My workload consists of drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate Applications, Trust documents together with the day-to-day management of Deputyship matters. I can also assist with Estate and Trust administration and associated Tax implications. I am based in our Chelmsford office, and am available for a free 15 minute chat over the phone on 01245 453837. My aspiration to pursue a career in law is driven by my desire to assist those in times of need. I have always been intrigued by the world of law and the work of a Solicitor/Legal Executive, and my passion was confirmed through my time studying at Sixth Form and then University. I use the skills and knowledge I have learnt throughout my experience to assist clients and provide a successful outcome. My ability to build relationships with different people has given me the tools needed to support clients at the most difficult of times. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, but most importantly – my dog! I am a Dementia Friend.

About Katie Elsdon

Katie was very patient with both my mum and myself. We changed our Wills at the end of last year but due to my mum's car accident in January we didn't get round to signing them until the other week. Neither of us felt rushed in either meeting and Katie was happy to answer all questions.

Will trust advice and land registry registration.
I needed some help sorting out my late Mum’s will trust. I had completed this myself originally but had made a couple of mistakes. I called Birkett Long for some advice and gave them the details and was passed to Katie Elsdon. Katie made the process straight forward and her communication was excellent.

Compassionate, efficient and responsive company to use for probate.
When my parents passed away Katie Hayden and all the staff from Birkett Long was so friendly and supportive and made everything less stressful during this tough time, she responded to my emails or phone calls very quickly if not immediately and always offered the best advice and an empathetic listening ear and was always there for me if I needed someone to speak to.

Fantastic professional advice and help
Katie Hayden at Birkett Long LLP Chelmsford , dealt with the probate and estates of both my mum and my dad and I could not ask for a more , kind , helpful and professional supportive solicitor, she took all the stress and anxiety out of applying for Probate and was always on hand to offer advice and help in anyway she could . I was so worried about all the work it would all entail but she made everything much easier and less traumatic .

Katie has dealt with our situation for a number of years, and has always provided a prompt and clear service.
