Catrin qualified as a solicitor in October 1991. Whilst initially undertaking all aspects of Family Law work, in 1998 she commenced specialising in Child Law matters. She has been a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since 1998 and has experience of dealing with a variety of private and public law cases before Magistrates, District, Circuit and High Court Judges as well as the Court of Appeal. Catrin regularly represent children both directly and via their Guardians. She undertakes her own advocacy in the majority of cases including complex matters involving a number of expert witnesses. She is a fluent Welsh speaker and has the ability to deal with cases through the medium of Welsh or English. In 2011 Catrin was appointed as the Law Society representative on the All Wales Cafcass Cymru Advisory Panel. Subsequently, Catrin was also appointed as the Children Panel Solicitor representative on the North Wales Cafcass Advisory Panel.
