A generally good experience
Stephens Wilmot did a good job for us. We had not moved house for 16 years so were learning as we went along and had forgotten how tortuous the conveyancing process is. At times it seemed that they were being excessively cautious in their approach but we can understand now that in this litigious era the need for this is necessary. They were quick to respond to questions but sometimes we felt that they were "quoting from the book" rather than understanding our question fully and offering an explanation or a workaround. Generally however we were very satisfied with the service they provided.

Excellent service.
Having recently had a very negative experience elsewhere I was of the thinking that's just how solicitors were.
I could not have been more wrong. Jo Powell was assigned my house move and she was efficient, respectful and assertive on my behalf.
The process was clear, the timelines where stuck to and everything explained. Jo made sure she explained things to me in a way that was jargon free and clear.
Whenever Jo needed anything from me, she was really clear and responsive swiftly to any questions I had.

Excellent support.
Davis Tate in Twyford advised me that Stephens WIlmot, Solicitors, would deal with the conveyancing necessary to sell my house and purchase a flat nearby. I am in my 80s, and have bought and sold several properties in England and in New Zealand. The recent experience has made me aware of the huge changes that now burden what was a much simpler task 20 and 50 years ago. I take my hat off to the staff who dealt with all the documents and legal complications that had to be attended to. The Grand National horse race fades into a fraction of what is required now over a three month period in my case, of demanding, exhausting effort, and attention to detail, to complete the conveyancing and achieve the desired outcomes.
