Lucie-Anne Rhodes

Lucie-Anne Rhodes is a Property Litigation Solicitor with over fourteen years of experience acting on a wide range of property-related issues. She has worked at some of the biggest national and international law firms and, more recently, worked as Head of Legal for the UK’s largest property management company. The following is a non-exhaustive list of areas that Lucie-Anne can provide advice and representation on: Commercial landlord and tenant: debt recovery, lease renewals, break options, forfeiture, dilapidations and consent to dealings Residential landlord and tenant: breach of lease, possession proceedings, rights of first refusal, disrepair, general lease interpretation and enforcement notices Residential property management: service charge disputes, consultation/dispensation issues, 18-month rule, right to manage and named/embedded manager issues Other property-related issues: building safety, easements, telecommunications, trespassers, nuisance, rights to light and adverse possession Lucie-Anne worked on the Supreme Court appeal in the case of FirstPort Property Services Ltd v Settlers Court RTM Company and others and ran successful judicial review proceedings around building safety legislation. In 2022, Lucie-Anne won a Property Management 50 ‘Influencer’ award and her team won the award for ‘Legal Services Provider of the Year’ at the ARMA ACE awards. She is a member of the Property Litigation Association and an Affiliate member of The Property Institute. Lucie-Anne adopts a pragmatic approach, aimed at finding solutions and resolving disputes wherever possible rather than engaging in costly litigation. Where litigation becomes unavoidable, Lucie-Anne endeavours to manage proceedings in a proportionate and commercial manner, while maintaining a robust position on behalf of her clients. Clients have described her as ‘very approachable’ and said that she ‘doesn’t complicate things at all, as some lawyers do’. In her spare time, Lucie-Anne can be found hanging out with her five-year-old lodger, writing children’s books, making stuff out of wood or – infrequently and badly – playing the guitar.
