Prior to joining Birkett Long, I studied for the LLB Law degree at Anglia Ruskin University achieving a First Class degree with Honours and gained the highest overall result in my year. I then completed my training contract with Birkett Long in September 2016 and qualified into the Wills, Trusts and Probate team in Chelmsford in March 2018. I have recently completed the STEP Diploma and will become a full STEP member in due course.

From my very first phone call to the conclusion of my aunt's estate, I found Jess to be very professional, competent, kind and understanding. I thought that I was going to be very stressed with all the complicated paperwork, but Jess made it stress free with her friendly and helpful manner.

Wills
Jess at Birkett Long was very helpful in helping us make our wills earlier this year. We only had basic knowledge of the process and we found Jess to be friendly and approachable. Extremely Professional

PROBATE
Jess Birch dealt with the IHT form regarding the probate documents of a relative's estate.
At all times she and others in her team were friendly and helpful in answering my questions. What I particularly liked was where I disagreed over something in the tax due, she listened to my concerns and we worked through it to the right conclusion. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone and would be happy to use them again.

Personal & professional
Updated will with LPA’s prior to retirement. Jess Birch was excellent. Nothing too much trouble and her people skills are way above the norm. She made it all understandable, at my level’ and I would recommend her anytime.
