I am a Conveyancing Executive in the New Homes team. I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Law. Soon after completing my degree, I was offered the opportunity to work for a UK National Firm within their Debt Recoveries team. In 2017, I was offered the opportunity to transfer to one of their Residential Conveyancing departments as an assistant and I quickly progressed to a Senior Case Handler. This role dealt with high value properties and required good organisational skills to progress matters quickly and efficiently. I joined Coffin Mew as a Conveyancing Executive within the New Homes team as I enjoy working in a fast paced environment and believe I can help people adhere to the deadlines set by the New Build developers and move the transactions along in a timely manner. I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead and to expanding my knowledge within Conveyancing.

AVOID - Impartial , poor communication - painful and stressful process
AVOID - Especially if you are a BELLWAY customer. They are completely impartial and act for the developer because of the amount of money they’re clearly making from Bellway recommendations. Painful experience throughout. Got charged the same for a legal conveyancer rather than a solicitor. Dealt with Shona Archer - extremely poor communication, rarely ever answered the phone, constantly out of office. She didn’t ask the proper conveyancing questions which we had to probe her to ask. Raised various disputes over land and conveyancing plans, she was quite clearly on the developers side. Eventually, she lost all contact with us and we didn’t even hear from her on the day of completion which was pretty shocking - despite her being in the office. We were also overcharged on our completion statement - thankfully we picked this up. AVOID - Pay the same money and go somewhere who’ll actually ask the proper questions and be on YOUR SIDE.

The person who dealt with my move was excellent. Some slowness is passing messages to her by others but this was possibly down to the Covid situation.
