Divorce advice
Phillip Hoddell is a great guy to have on your side! He advised me following my ex-husband's arrest, and the subsequent divorce.
Phillip helped me through a very difficult time in my life and was always pragmatic, balanced and above all kind. His advice is detailed and thorough and his PA Marina is wonderfully efficient. He has a great team and Mel also assisted me when Philip was on holiday, providing continuity and ensuring things were not delayed at all.
Unfortunately my ex decided to drag things through court and so it all went on for quite a long time - however things did not go as my ex wanted, thanks to the excellent preparations by Philip and his recommended barrister! I had a good outcome.
I highly recommend Phillip and his team, and I'm very grateful for the support and advice provided.

Matrimonial advice
Philip Hoddell advised me on my divorce over a period of three years. His advice was always clear, definite and easily understood, which gave me a great deal of confidence and comfort through the process. He respected the manner in which I wanted to conduct the divorce, and put this into practice when corresponding with my wife's lawyers. As well as having deep technical knowledge, he was at all times calm and re-assuring. I came out of the process with a feeling that a very fair settlement had been reached, which is what I wanted. I highly recommend.

Outstanding overall service
Throughout a lengthy and challenging process the advice, support and guidance provided was consistently excellent. Ultimately the conclusion reached was significantly better than we had hoped and planned for. This was largely due to the concise, experienced and measured approach taken by Philip.

Exceptional support and service - cannot recommend highly enough.
From my first initial telephone conversation with Philip to the closure of the case I have felt exceptionally well supported and empowered in a very difficult circumstances. Advice on Divorce
I have long had sensible well-informed legal advice from Birkett Long. Though my wife and I were being advised jointly by another single firm (as is now allowed under the new divorce laws, to help avoid and adversarial process) I was able to take informal personal advice from Philip Hoddell. This greatly strengthened my confidence in the main discussions as well as providing me with a degree of personal support.
