What an excellent service these people provide, i dealt mostly with a young Lady named Elisha, she took all my concerns and worries and turn them all into positives, she was so knowledgeable of the multi process of selling and purchasing, she answered every question i had ( which were many ) with total professionalism and understanding, cant speak highly enough of her and her colleagues, if you are looking for a solicitor, look no further than Goddard and Dunbar

We had Carole as our solicitor and we managed to complete in 9 weeks from offer accepted, Carole was so helpful throughout the process and kept us in the loop with any important updates, she made what we thought was going to be an awful stressful experience, the complete opposite. I've used Goddard Dunbar 3 times now for Conveyancing needs and no issues each time. A friendly, helpful, prompt team. Highly recommended!

Utterly inexcusably poor experience with the Goddard Dunbar conveyancing team. My chain-free purchase took 5 months due to 2 commonplace enquiries that were dragged out for weeks on end, of which I was then asked to chase myself. They sat and waited 33 days for an email from the other side, and thought this was acceptable. You'd think some sort of protocol would be in place when they are not getting the response they need, in order to do the best for their client - clearly not. My seller almost pulled out due to the delays. No attempt at all was made to move things along despite knowing the inconvenience of my situation. A proactive approach and actively listening to clients' concerns should be standard customer service. Requests to be contacted were ignored. Requests for estimated completion dates, ignored. The only thing that was consistent was the out of office emails. No attempt at reassurance or an apology for the delays was given by anyone throughout. I was told they "cannot see where an apology is due" - unbelievable. Things started to progress when I made a formal complaint but after an in-house "investigation", all I got was a long winded email from the complaints director in defense of the company which I had no time to read as I was too busy trying to sort the issues that I was paying them to deal with. Chasing estate agents, vendors solicitors, drainage specialists, even the mortgage lender. I can see similar reviews from 2 years ago - this standard of "service" should not be the norm. I was asked to send my deposit at 16:40, following which the solicitor went straight onto annual leave without bothering to confirm the transaction or being on hand to help with any potential problems. An incredibly stressful time was made worse by Goddard Dunbar. Needless to say I do not recommend. And I have no interest in contacting the Ombudsman, it won't get me into my property any faster.

This is our second time using Goddard Dunbar in 2025 ... and yet again another fantastic experience. Very professional and quick at responding to email's. Thanks for making the selling process so easy!

Supported us throughout the purchase of our premises. Communication very clear in our basic format for us being new. Swift in the approach. Always were available to support and guide us. All the team we dealt with knowledge second to none. Competitive and overall painless experience at what can be a stressful time.

Sounds harsh.. but considering the amounts we paid for professional services... we were left with terrible experience... We paid for Solicitors and ended up dealing with associate... we had meetings and not once was a qualified solicitor present.. We were informed or uninformed wrongly and we were left £250 plus vat out of pocket... for an appearance fee... be careful as these solicitors should be protecting us and looking out for us but our feeling is they more concerned about lining there pockets. We questioned the appearance fee as we Were NOT informed and they said its standard practice... however thus is not true... be careful and my advice is ... your paying for a solicitor not a Associate who wasn't very good in our opinion and couldn't answer basics We been asked pay another 250 plus vat for appearance fee at auction... even if it don't sell.. its morally wrong... as they are there on other auction lots... Be safe STAY AWAY
