We asked the solicitor if they could prioritise our work due to the seller's time constraints. Understandably there was a reasonable surcharge, but we were able to obtain efficient communications throughout the process. We were never side lined and we successfully completed on the property in good time.

We retained the Beeston branch for a relatively straightforward conveyancing task. The Conveyancer made several errors which delayed the process (including a 3 day bank transfer process for funds that should have been made the same day). In essence their response was that they admitted they had made mistakes but they were not prepared to actually do anything about it. I recommend looking elsewhere for conveyancing services.

Tim is an amazing solicitor and person, who is professional, genuine and compassionate and definitely goes way above and beyond to support his clients. I cannot thank Tim and the team at Ellis-Fermor and Negas enough for their dedication and undeniable hard work with a very difficult property dispute, which was won at Trial in all aspects! I would highly recommend to anyone who needs legal support.

I instructed Ellis-Fermor & Negus for a commercial conveyancing transaction and was extremely disappointed with the quality of service provided. Despite raising multiple issues regarding errors, delays, and poor communication during the process, I was frequently left to chase for updates, track outstanding actions, and in some cases, even asked to summarise key items myself in a spreadsheet — which felt inappropriate for a professional legal service. The solicitor handling my case was reactive and lacked experience, resulting in repeated inaccuracies, missed issues, and avoidable back-and-forth. This created significant personal stress during what should have been a well-guided legal process. When I escalated these concerns to a Head of Department, my dissatisfaction was brushed aside, and I was told that they were at capacity and could not take on new clients. This response felt dismissive and seemed more focused on ending the engagement than addressing legitimate client concerns. Given the fees charged and the quality of service received, I would not recommend this firm and hope they reflect seriously on their internal supervision and client care standards.

Would not recommend to anyone wanting a smooth and stress-free experience. 3 months later I am still dealing with issues that I was told had been sorted by my solicitor (Shona) at the time of purchasing my property. Terrible communication and service, choose to ignore you as soon as your sale goes through. AVOID!

Very professional. Helpful and picked up my case after I had problems with my former solicitor. Listened to me and very understanding of the issues I had experienced.

Extremely Poor service, continuously having to chase for answers to simple questions. We understand that there can be many dependencies when completing a house purchase but we would expect a response to queries that they should be able to answer. The solicitor assigned to our purchase had left the company meaning our purchase was moved to the Beeston branch and we were not informed until a few months later after continuously chasing for information This purchase has been a stressful process and Ellis-Fermor & Negus have done nothing to make it easier. I would strongly advise to find another solicitors

Im not one to normally leave reviews but I've used a number of different conveyancers in the past and the the service levels I received this time definitely deserved a special mention.
