I ended up dismissing Perrins before first hearing: months went by without communications; he claimed not to receive emails that are in my sent box; he ignored my dismay at a biased social worker's report, and emailed me days later without reading her report; he had no advice or gave bad advice; he appeared to collude with the other side to appoint the other side's preferred solicitor as a mediator. Apart from filing a weak petition, he did nothing useful for me. He just wasn't paying attention or taking care.
