Stephanie made the experience simple to understand and gave clear understandable advice. As an ex-pat with property and businesses in the EU as well as the UK I needed a solicitor with a full understanding of european law and that is exactly what I got with Stephanie. I was fortunate enough to have found Vicki at Burt Brill and Cardens over ten years ago and have used her many many times. She is brilliant! Incredibly professional and always on it, when your buying or selling a house it is stressful but with Vicki you know that everything is being done in the background, if she needs info from you she will call you, if there is something to tell you she will tell you and if not you know everything is under control. I really could not recommend Vicki and BBC highly enough!

What a horrible experience. “You will pay a bit more but you will get the service”, they said, well we did and we didn’t. Supposedly competent in dealing with ‘Lifetime Mortgages’ we went to this Firm for that reason. We should have realised how bad things were going to be, when the first batch of forms and paperwork were sent out to someone else in error. We then endured months of poor communication by inexperienced staff, and to be honest at times what felt like incompetence. The considerable stress of moving home was only compounded by this Firm. Never again!
We have used Burt, Brill and Carden for our last 3 house transactions and they have always been personal, timely and professional in their services. Compared with other solicitors in our chains they have always looked superior.
I was represented by Courtney Pearce and I would highly recommend her for Right to buy property purchases as she was excellent. The purchase was quite long and she was extremely patient with me and the Council when retrieving the information from us and remained very professional throughout. She was very thorough with all the fine details and was great at explaining what documents meant or breaking down the legal language. Communication was always consistent and available with Courtney and she was always great at keeping me up to date with the process. Thank you so much Courtney I wish you the best of luck with your career I am a very satisfied client.
I would avoid their conveyancing team at all costs, they are extremely slow to respond. They commit to dates to exchange and then go completely missing in the days prior rendering it not possible. Very ineffective firm and they will slow down your transaction considerably
Vicki and Ruth were a huge help during the selling of my flat. They were extremely efficient and supportive and took a lot of anxiety out of a potentially stressful process.

I used Stephanie to deal with my late partner's probate. It ended up being a lengthy process due to hmrc. Stephanie was amazing at dealing with them and keeping us informed. She wasn't scared to challenge hmrc when needed. I would highly recommend her. Many thanks.
