    Great experience with competence and urgency

    Our UK subsidiary was recently subjected to allegations of fraud. As an immediate consequence, our bank accounts were frozen following a decision made by the police. The bank’s position was that, for compliance reasons, they could not give us access to our funds. However, the bigger problem was that we were unable to understand the nature of the allegations or gain access to the details behind them, and therefore had no real opportunity to respond or find a solution. Only after a recommendation from a good friend did we get in touch with the law firm Standback Reed, where we were introduced to Richard Cooper. He proved to be exactly the right lawyer to handle our case. Within 24 hours, we had provided everything Richard Cooper requested, including data, company information, and details relating to the company’s customers and suppliers. Remarkably, within the following 48 hours, Richard Cooper had established contact with the police and the relevant case officers, explained the misunderstandings surrounding the matter, and just 24 hours later the police confirmed that the case had been dismissed and would not be pursued any further. Without the swift assistance we received from Standback Reed, we could have faced being left without banking facilities for 6 to 12 months. Thank you very much for your help.       During difficult times, it helps to surround yourself with competent, good and moral people.

      Divorce is an incredibly difficult and often overwhelming experience. At the outset, I had no idea just how challenging it would be, nor how much trust I would need to place in people I had only just met. During one of the most stressful periods of my life, I found myself speaking to Ms Viola and her team more frequently than I spoke to family or friends. From the very beginning, Ms Viola and her team made sure the process was handled as smoothly as possible. They provided far more than legal advice; they offered guidance, reassurance and stability at a time when I needed it most. Without exaggeration, they helped me through the worst period of my life. One of the qualities I appreciated most was Ms Viola’s integrity. Throughout the case, she ensured that we maintained an honest, transparent and professional approach, regardless of the challenges we faced.
