Professionally dealt with, but not a quick result due to Land Registry taking so long to process everything.

Shared Ownership Purchase

I used WSP solicitors to purchase my shared ownership property in Brockworth, Gloucester. My solicitor and all the team working on my case were always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend WSP and won't hesitate to use them in the future.

Mixed experience

Two strands to the assignment. One entirely satisfactory, the other bedevilled by delay and lack of communication. Temporary staff seem more on top of things and customer-focused than some of the permanent team.

I had chosen WSP to help me with a family matter in court. They was amazing from the get go to the final hearing and even after that Lydia has still been helping me with finalising final bits etc. Lydia and Judi went above and beyond to make sure I was heard. I am forever grateful for their hard word and dedication to myself and my children. Would 1 million percent recommend WSP in the future

I have just completed on a property in the UK. This was not an easy purchase as I am based in HK. However, my solicitor Sue Taylor made the whole process as painless as possible and helped me through the entire process. I would highly recommend her to any prospective future buyer for their house purchase needs. She is simply put excellent and highly efficient. Ed

We heard from so many people that one of the stressful parts of buying a house was the legal side of things, however the team at WSP Solicitors in Stroud made it so much more manageable. We dealt with Gemma Francis Taylor and also Helen Holloway, who were brilliant at communicating exactly what needed to be done, at the right time. They were able to effectively solve any issues that arose, and helped make our house buying dream a reality.

Thank you so much to you both, and your team for helping us through this process. We can now make a house, our home!

Best wishes
Bex and Mike

About this branch

Description

WSP Solicitors was established following the merger of three local firms that had been providing legal advice in Gloucestershire for more than two centuries: Winterbothams, A E Smith & Son and Penleys. Indeed, Penleys LLP was one of the oldest legal firms in the South West, having been established in Dursley by John Vizard in 1758. Family member William Vizard even acted for Queen Caroline when George IV tried to divorce her. Our heritage is important to us; one of our present solicitors is the great-grandson of Reginald Herbert Penley who retired from the firm in 1905. We still operate in the Cotswold towns of Stroud and Dursley. We also have a city office in the centre of Gloucester to allow us to support even more people across the county. Today, we pride ourselves on using our uncomplicated approach to help people from all walks of life with their personal and business legal affairs. Our ethos of making life less complicated applies to everything we do – including our fees. We’ll always be honest and upfront about our legal costs and give you a fixed estimate before we act on your behalf. We’ll provide regular fee updates and never incur additional charges without your authority. And if your transaction goes particularly smoothly (and less time is spent on it than we initially envisaged) we’ll even lower your bill. What could be simpler than that?
