I instructed this firm to handle my remortgage and transfer of equity in July 2026, expecting a professional, reliable service. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I would strongly advise prospective clients to consider my experience before instructing this firm.
My case was handled by Isaac Randle, with subsequent involvement from his manager, Hayley.
Throughout the process, I repeatedly had to chase progress, follow up on outstanding matters and check information myself. Instead of being able to rely on the professionals I had paid to manage my transaction, I felt I had to supervise their work to ensure things were moving forward.
Some particularly concerning examples included:
* Repeated administrative errors: On two occasions, Isaac sent emails stating that important documents were attached when they were missing, causing unnecessary inconvenience and disruption.
* Incorrect financial information: Shortly before anticipated completion, I was informed that I might owe £8,923 in Stamp Duty Land Tax. After I challenged this, the amount was subsequently revised to £0. This caused considerable and unnecessary financial anxiety.
* Conflicting information: Isaac indicated that we were waiting for documentation from the management company. However, when I contacted them myself, I was told they were actually waiting for information from my solicitors. I then had to escalate the matter to management.
* Unfulfilled commitments: Isaac assured me that he would pass information to Hayley and arrange for her to contact my ex-partner. When I subsequently spoke to Hayley, she told me that Isaac had not passed this information on.
* Expedited service: Despite being charged an additional £500 plus VAT for expedited handling, my transaction took approximately two months to complete. Given the repeated chasing, errors and communication problems, I questioned what additional service this fee had provided.
However, what disappointed me most was the way my concerns were handled.
When I raised issues with Isaac, I frequently found his responses defensive rather than focused on acknowledging mistakes or resolving problems.
I escalated my concerns to Hayley, hoping they would be taken seriously. Instead, during our initial conversation, she suggested that my experience of going through a divorce might be influencing my reaction.
I found this comment inappropriate and dismissive. My personal circumstances had nothing to do with the administrative errors, conflicting information and communication failures I was raising.
When I asked about escalating my concerns to another senior person within the firm, I was told there was no point because the matter would simply be referred back to Hayley.
At no stage did I feel genuinely heard, supported or that my concerns were being taken seriously.
I subsequently submitted a detailed formal complaint, supported by evidence. Unfortunately, I was equally disappointed by the firm’s response and its refusal to provide the resolution I had requested.
I understand that property transactions can involve complications and that not every delay is within a solicitor’s control. However, accurate communication, following through on commitments, acknowledging errors and treating customers respectfully should be fundamental standards of professional service.
This experience caused me considerable stress, anxiety, financial worry and unnecessary additional work. I paid substantial professional fees because I wanted peace of mind and a service I could rely on. Instead, I found myself constantly chasing, questioning information and worrying about what might have been overlooked.
I did not expect perfection. I expected professionalism, transparency, accountability and basic respect. Unfortunately, I felt I received very little of any of these.
What makes this experience particularly disappointing is that even after providing evidence and raising my concerns formally, I still did not feel heard.
I was left feeling let down, unsupported and taken advantage of as a paying customer.
Based on my personal experience with Isaac Randle, Hayley and the firm’s handling of my formal complaint, I would not use this firm again and cannot recommend its services.
