TMC Solicitors is the most unprofessional firm I have ever dealt with. Once they have your money, communication seems to become almost non-existent. Your emails are ignored or if you call them you will be met with excuses such as “they’re in a meeting” rather than any meaningful response. You will end up doing daily follow up. Our caseworker was Zoya. While she may initially come across as polite and professional, my experience was that she was extremely passive-aggressive and difficult to communicate with. Taimur, her boss, was no better when concerns were raised about the caseworker. He would say he would speak to them, but nothing would actually happen - no follow-up, no meeting, and no attempt to properly address the issues. Documents were sent for review on the day of a deadline, while hearing/listing dates were only communicated a few weeks beforehand but this required weekly chasers as they won’t tell you. We were also charged for work without being properly informed. For example, if the bundle required revisions, this would apparently be dealt with internally without us being notified or consulted. The barrister instructed was from Garden Court North Chambers. In our experience, Mr Jonathan Holt was particularly disappointing. He appeared unfamiliar with important details of the case even on the day of the hearing and would ask us to confirm information that we expected him to already know. This was especially concerning given that he was also responsible for preparing the skeleton argument. It left us seriously questioning how thoroughly the case had actually been reviewed. He also failed to address his key arguments and didn’t challenge key factors and even told us we have small chance of winning?? Overall, the entire experience was an absolute shambles. Poor communication, a lack of accountability, last-minute work, unexpected charges and, in our experience, inadequate preparation. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this firm to think very carefully before doing so. We lost our case due to their pure negligence.

My experience with Taimoor was extremely disappointing. I found his attitude to be rude and unprofessional, and in my experience, his approach changed noticeably after the deposit was paid too. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. In my experience, the case was not analysed properly, which contributed to us missing a court hearing and caused a great deal of unnecessary stress. Despite the impact this had on us, I never received an apology directly from him. I believe Taimoor would benefit from further training in both case management and professional client communication. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend doing thorough research and considering alternative firms before entrusting him with an important legal matter.

Communication has been very poor. I would recommend being cautious about having a consultation with Taimoor. In my experience, he was very persuasive before the deposit was paid, but afterwards it became difficult to get through to him, and communication delayed. I would strongly recommend speaking to other firms and comparing your options before committing your case to TMC, particularly if you are considering working with Taimoor. This is based on my personal experience, and I would encourage others to do their own research before making a decision.
